The magazine racks come unfinished but sanded. This is good because you can varnish or oil (I used Watco teak oil). You will need to locate and drill for mounting screws (I used four 8 pan head stainless steel screws). I bought a second rack after purchasing the first so I was obviously pleased enough with their quality. A bit pricey but high quality teak is hard to source so I had decided not to bother making them myself.

I wanted something to hold my magazines up off the floor and this was perfect. It's a bit pricey but it's mostly solid wood, and teak at that so you get what you pay for. I ended up drilling 2 mounting holes 16 apart and then hand rubbed it with Danish (teak) finish oil - 2 coats = outstanding. I'd buy again...it's not cheap Chinese stuff so expect to pay more.
