They work fine on a Freshwater boat, but quickly stop working if you take your bay boat on saltwater. To be fair they clearly state that in the item description, but my Excel Bay Pro 203 came with them (which is Excel's fault, not Whitecap's).

These latches are a little pricey but well made and definitely enhances the boat. Seem sturdy so far but time will tell.
