Causes: Animals, Bird Sanctuaries

Mission: We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and a no-kill sanctuary for exotic animals. We also hold licenses with the USDA, USDI, and the state of Oklahoma; as well as hold a degree in Wildlife Biology with over 45 years of experience. Sanctuaries exist in recognition that all lives have value and that we have an obligation to attempt to right the wrongs that some humans have done to animals. Wild Bill’s Sanctuary will offer a place of refuge to help in protecting the quality of life and improve the wellbeing of abused, neglected, unwanted or displaced exotic animals through prevention, education, intervention, placement, and lifetime care where they will live out their lives with dignity, love, and respect. With education being a large priority for us, we strive to educate the public on each animal. This education includes the origin of the species, as well as where it can be found in the wild, the species lifestyle, diet and day to day habits. We will educate the public/increase awareness about the responsibilities of proper care and animal husbandry through seminars and promote the prevention of animal mistreatment through quality educational programs and events in our community while teaching kindness and compassion towards animals, each other and our planet. We are a donation only facility staffed by volunteers. We are closed to the public as we feel it is in the best interest of the animals here to live free from the added stress of daily visitors. This makes it more difficult for us to raise funds, but our primary concern is the health and disposition of each animal. We believe in a stress free environment with proper nutrition and a variety of enrichment programs. While the grounds are closed, small educational tours and demonstrations can be arranged by appointment only. Our primary goal is for the safety and health of our animals. We will be a voice for the animals in our community, state and nation. We depend on volunteers, fundraising, charitable donations, sponsors and/or generous benefactors. We will provide financial or physical assistance to other 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations providing support to animal rescue services within the United States.

Results: We are currently applying for grants and raising funds for a new Primate/ Reptile House. This new enclosure will have indoor/outdoor year round environments for all primates so that they will not have to be transported back and forth between there summer and winter environments. This building will also allow us to rescue more reptiles as we are out of space for any new arrivals at this time.
