Mission: RESCUE—To rescue non-releasable, captive-bred, displaced, and unwanted wild canids, especially as a direct result of the exotic pet trade.

SANCTUARY—To provide each rescue with permanent, safe sanctuary and lifelong care addressing physical, mental, and emotional health and wellness through species-specific nutrition, medical support, enrichment, and animal companionship, when applicable.

EDUCATION—To educate the public about the plight of our rescued wild canids while providing species-specific information, focusing especially on wolfdogs, how to tell the difference between a wolf, a wolfdog, and a domestic dog, and about the ethical care and treatment of domestic and wild animals alike.

Results: To date, Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary has provided lifelong sanctuary to over 250 canines, all thanks to supporters like you!

Target demographics: Wolves, wolfdogs, foxes, and various other wild canines

Direct beneficiaries per year: In 2021, WSWS received a total of 393 intake requests for canines across the country. Of those animals, we were able to rescue 16 and help 102 animals find placement outside of Wild Spirit.

Geographic areas served: The United States

Programs: Amimal care: food purchasing and preparation. Feeding, cleaning and caring for animals. Vet care, usda record keeping, transportation to veterinarian. Rescue and rehabilitation of displaced captive-bred wolves, wolfdogs, and other wild canines.
