Mission: Wild Tomorrow Fund is dedicated to the protection of threatened and endangered species and the habitats they depend on for survival. We want to ensure that the world that comes after us is a world in which a wild tomorrow is possible. Wild Tomorrow Fund's habitat protection program is focused on saving and restoring habitat in KwaZulu-Natal South Africa to create a wildlife corridor that expands wild space and will link two large wildlife reserves together, including a UNESCO World Heritage Wetland Park. The corridor will expand and reconnect habitat for many threatened species from elephants to black rhinos, and provide extra climate resilience by giving access for wildlife to its lifesaving freshwater river and springs.

Results: To date we have completed two land purchases and joined with conservation-minded neighbors to protect, restore and re-wild the newly declared 3200ha Greater Ukuwela Nature Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal South Africa. We work together with the local community to ensure that our wildlife conservation work brings tangible benefits to the people who live alongside the wildlife corridor. This includes creating jobs for 9 rangers and for our "Green Mambas" team (14 women) who are doing manual alien plant control and other restoration work, while addressing food insecurity by supporting two local kindergartens and an orphanage with a daily school lunch program.

Target demographics: threatened and endangered species including leopard, African savanna elephants, rhinos, hyena, giraffe, the suni antelope and more.

Geographic areas served: Southern Africa
