Programs: The clean drain dry initiative is wildlife forever's national public awareness campaign to prevent the spread of invasive species. For over a decade, this growing coalition of partners has led an award-winning effort to raise awareness of the threat of invasive species. Innovative and consistent marketing efforts focus on instilling the simple practices of clean drain dry among anglers, boaters, hunters and all recreational users to stop the spread of invasive species. Wildlife forever and its federal, state and local partners reached more than 130 million americans in 2017.Wildlife forever's state-fish art contest teaches youth aquatic conservation education through the arts. Free to grades k-12, state-fish art often serves as the first educational moment for students to learn about invasive species and how to prevent the spread. Over 3,000 young artists worldwide created illustrations of their state fish in 2017 as wildlife forever hosted its 19th annual state-fish art contest. Wildlife forever is also involved with invasive species removal and habitat restoration. Our growing alliances work to restore prairie grasslands, removal of invasive plants and assist landowners to improve habitat for fish, wildlife and critically important pollinators.
