My mother is in a nursing home and has lost two pair of hearing aids so we are going to try this

93 year old mother is unable to keep earbuds in her ears, so this headset is perfect for her. She could hear very well using this.

We had this recommended to us by a social worked in the hospital for my elderly father. While he does have expensive hearing aids, this little tool actually works better. It isn't as small as hearing aids so not as likely to get lost while the person is in the hospital. In a pinch, this really helps!

It just amazed us how someone who spent thousands on hearing aides and can’t hear, but then with this product they were able to hear and cried. Great great product!! Especially with the elderly. Believe me, It saves on losing your voice from always having to talk so loud.

Using the pocket talker for my daughter who is institutionalized. She is quite deaf and manages to lose hearing aids within a day or two of receiving them. She doesn’t mind wearing the Pocket Talker using the lanyard and earphones. The nursing staff in her facility are thrilled to be able to communicate with her without having to write everything down. I’m wondering if there is any way to use the pocket talker on the telephone?

Sound is very loud and clear, can hear much better than with hearing aids. Great product. We also use it in the hospital by SLPs for hard of hearing patients who don’t have hearing aids - works well.

When my mom was using it, it helped her tremendously. Unfortunately, she no longer likes using it because she also wears glasses so the headphones press against her ear and hurts her; earbuds won't stay in her ears. Her hearing is really bad and we could not afford another set of hearing aids every time she loses them. We went to Kaiser and they had a pair that they let my mom try onshe said it helped. Since it did work as expected, I'm basing this review on that.

This was recommended by my mother-in-law's speech therapist and it works well! She is able to operate it without issues and says it's very helpful.

I suggest this item for anyone with hearing loss. For our 98 year old uncle, it's a godsend! Hearing aids are too small and delicate for his condition - he cannot get them in properly. This device is wonderful. He hears us and is once again able to enjoy our conversations.
