Sound is very loud and clear, can hear much better than with hearing aids. Great product. We also use it in the hospital by SLPs for hard of hearing patients who don't have hearing aids - works well.

When my mom was using it, it helped her tremendously. Unfortunately, she no longer likes using it because she also wears glasses so the headphones press against her ear and hurts her; earbuds won't stay in her ears. Her hearing is really bad and we could not afford another set of hearing aids every time she loses them. We went to Kaiser and they had a pair that they let my mom try onshe said it helped. Since it did work as expected, I'm basing this review on that.

This was recommended by my mother-in-law's speech therapist and it works well! She is able to operate it without issues and says it's very helpful.

I suggest this item for anyone with hearing loss. For our 98 year old uncle, it's a godsend! Hearing aids are too small and delicate for his condition - he cannot get them in properly. This device is wonderful. He hears us and is once again able to enjoy our conversations.

My Aunt is 81 and didn't engage in any of our conversations. Got this on a doctors recommendation and game changer! She talked for hours and stayed awake for a very long time during the day when she would have fallen asleep. Totally worth $155 buy it.

An inexpensive, affordable alternative to hearing aids. Light; easy to wear; controls easy to use. I purchased it for my elderly, HOH relative. I'd recommend it to others.

I talked with my audiologist about my 103-year-old mother's profound hearing loss. Hearing aids just didn't help her any longer. He recommended the Williams Sound PockeTalker. It has been a godsend for her and all of us who love and care for her.

Instead of screaming into his “good ear” I can now talk normally into the microphone and he can hear me. This product was recommended to me by an audiologist for my 96 yo dad who is very hard of hearing. The only downside is that I must hold the microphone and speak directly into it.

This truly has been life changing for my mother who is almost completely deaf. We took a chance and bought it. She can now enjoy her classical music, a phone conversation, and normal everyday talking without us having to yell. She can now watch TV shows with us without blasting the sound up. The only regret I have is not buying it sooner!

My elderly mother arrived able to hear nothing which was making her unhappy and affecting the quality of visits with her. We set this on the table with the headphones on her and can have a meal together with her participating. To watch TV with her, we use the long cord and put the microphone under the TV. Did not work at church we guess due to radio interference from hearing aids. Did nothing but squeal and squawk. We now have some wax removed from her ears and don't need it for normal quiet conversations, but are using it to watch TV. Inexpensive solution. And Seller was excellent.

I bought this for my 95 yo father. He said this device actually works! He had a pocket talker before but it was pretty useless. I highly recommend this product.

My dad lost 50 percent of his hearing. A doctor suggested this product as a temporary fix. It works!! Because of his age; he was opposed to getting hearing aids. It is a universal joy for all of us to have a normal conversation, to watch tv at a reasonable volume etc. Quality of life has been restored with the Pocket Talker.
