My 95 year old mother needs hearing help, but she can't use her hands well enough to deal with hearing aids herself. I use the Pocket Talker for her. It makes conversations much better. Not so much yelling or misunderstandings!

The amplifier performs just as advertised. The sound quality is fine. I would have given 5 stars if the headphones were less flimsy and the volume control larger to make it easier to see and use by the elderly.

My husband is hard of hearing and cannot wear hearing aids. This device is a blessing. He wears the headphones and you talk into the small microphone. Works very well.

My 95 yr old mother used these while in the hospital with broken ribs; we've been thru two different types of hearing aids and these work the best for her. They have saved my sanity!.

My mother in law is completely deaf in one ear and profoundly deaf in the other due to a brain tumor that was removed 20 years ago. She has tried numerous numerous hearing aids over the years but none helped her with her type of hearing loss. She was recently in the hospital, and when the doctor found out she was hearing impaired, he brought in a pair of these to try. She tried them, never thinking they would never work for her. She started to cry, because for the first time in 20 years, she could hear her sons voice. A total quality of life changer for her, so thankful for this device!

Just gave back my $6,000 Widex Moment hearing aids that I had on 30 day trial. The sound was just crap. I'm a musician, and sound quality is all I care about. I don't care about bluetooth or phone compatibility, I just want a good sound. The high dollar hearing aids sounded like an old AM transistor radio that was in a back room, in another house, 2 states over. Even tho they boosted the sound, it was terrible. Definitely not worth $6,000. So, back they went.I don't even remember buying this, but I happened to find it in a closet and it was still unopened. So, I thought...why not? I've tried the expensive stuff, so I now know what aids can do. Let's compare.Well, this is what I expected the hearing aids to sound like. It does exactly what you would think a good hearing aid would do. It boosts the sound and it sounds good. I dunno if it is as tune-able as a hearing aid. The audiologist said I had lost some high-frequency sound and was constantly adjusting those expensive aids to compensate for all sorts of stuff. Hell if I remember what it all was. It sounded like crap no matter what she did. Nice lady tho...and cute.Anyway, I didn't do a thing to this device. Just put in the batteries and plugged in the earphones. Put 'em on and Voila! I can hear!What the hell was I paying $6,000 for? Yeah, it was small and almost invisible, which was cool...but, if it didn't help, what's the point of being cool?If they could reproduce this sound in a small, almost invisible hearing aid, I'd pay my $6,000 and walk away grinning. It's a replacement for my father who is in a nursing home. He is hard of hearing. His previous hearing aid which was the same model worked very well for him.

Easy to activate, simple to use, can assist persons who have major hearing deficiencies.

I bought this for my wife who has Alzheimer's and severe hearing loss. I hoped it would help her but her hearing and understanding is too far gone, so I had to send the product back. Never-the-less the product worked as advertised when I tried it myself.

It's so much quieter for me watching TV with her.

Greatly improved my father-in-law's quality of life! He had been missing out on much of the conversations going on around him and now can fully participate.
