I use it before each practice as our training balls are old and leather is not in the best condition. Prep Kip helps to renew properties of ball leather, it was noted by all QB, WR, RB in the team.

My Sophomore QB thought it would be a waste of time! (You know cause they know it all) I did 1 panel of his ball, it’s all over! Now he’s has his receivers doing the balls b4 practice! It’s great!

Must have if you own a football. Rub the wax into the brush and then brush on the football until the whole thing is a nice dark color. Gives the ball a ton of grip.

Played a game in very heavy rain. I thought the ball was ruined. Dried out, almost fuzzy leather. Used this kit, gave it a good layer and brushing... I was amazed. Ball is good as new. If you play outdoors in al weather. This kit is a must.

Good product, too much will make the ball slippery when you throw it because the wax sticks to your fingers.

WOW, does this work exactly like they say it should, and way better than you'd expect if you've never tried it before. Very easy to use, and doesn't require much per application. For less than $30 I just brought back 3 footballs from the dead (very slippery, hard to throw or catch) that would have cost $30 each to replace, and used up very little of the bar. After getting used to it, it would take less than 5 minutes to re-condition a ball. I don't yet know how long the re-conditioning will last, but at this level of value and ease, it really won't matter.

I was a little annoyed that I had to pay an additional $20 for a product to get my ball how I wanted it. However, I went ahead and did it and I am glad I did. I didn't want to spend $85 for the ball and then hedge on $20 and not get the longevity I want from my purchase. I didn't quite understand how a wax bar was going to do anything to the leather, but it sure does. It makes the ball get that deep brown color and the shine like the balls you see in NFL games. It also makes the color more uniform, and helps remove some of the powdery dust that you can feel on the ball out of the box, making it slick. I wiped my ball down 6 or 7 times with a damp rag to remove the red dye over the course of about a week, and then when it was completely dry I used this prep kit. I couldn't stop looking at my ball after I applied this product. It is EXACTLY what I was looking for.

The brush is comfortable to hold and the bristles are stiff. The wax seems like it will last for a long time. If you follow the video instructions How to Prep Your Football on the Wilson website, it will be easy to get your ball to fell nice and grippy. Wilson sells their own leather conditioner, but I'm you can use any good quality leather conditioner. I happened to have Coach brand leather conditioner. Also, I skipped the last step of the tack spray as I do not feel that every step is absolutely necessary. The wax/tack bar in this prep kit provides enough gripability for me!

Excellent for leather, used it on other leather goods besides the football. Make the Duke ball very nice!!
