I don't make a lot of cakes, so the dent isn't a major problem. If I needed to make pretty, even cakes to be stacked and decorated, I would have been really upset about the condition of the pan I received. I own several Wilton pans and I like them a lot. I am guessing this was a shipping/storage accident. (A lot of force was required.) Since I mainly use them to make desserts that are cut into pieces, I can live with the pan as is. Another drawback is the non-stick coating is, it is easily scratched.
