Strong and sturdy. Used for a 3 tiered cake. You need strong scissor/ tool to cut to height needed.

Product worked great ... three tier cake stayed sturdy ... cutting the cake was easy ... clean up was also easy ... I kept the caps used on the rods for future use ... I plan on buying this product again when doing another large cake

easy to use and definitely helped with the sturdiness of the cake. I made a 10", 8", 6" tiered cake. they were perfect.

I normally use bubble tea straws in my layer cakes but I had a big wedding cake and didnt want to have any issues. I bought these and a rose cutter, regular scissors did not cut these.<br /> I love the caps, my cake was moved all around and never had any problems. I do not think they are cost effective but it did give me piece of mind so it was worth it. Also it has 4 long plastic rods but once you cut them, you can usually get 2 uses out of 1 rod. So theres actually 8.

I love the ease of using these for supporting my wedding cakes versus wooden dowels…and the flat top caps add that extra support!
