I bought this unit despite the reviews that it was hard to put together. I had it delivered to my workplace because I have more tools here. Here is how I did it, and it took me maybe 20 minutes.I'm a woman. All I needed was a torque screwdriver with a phillips head, and mine does torque both forward and reverse.I put the 4 shelf pegs in first and left them a little loose until I got the shelves down. After that I ignored the rest of the instructions.I laid the entire unit on it's side, bottom of it to my right side like a U facing up.I put a small empty box in the middle to keep it open. I put the pegs into the sides for the top shelf to match the holes.I put the shelf in, and I had to use a little force to get it to seat, but I figure that is why the side nearest to me was a little loose on the topI did the screws on the side away from me first. They were a tiny bit off straight, but went in nicely. When doing the ones nearest to me I saw it would be a little harder.I put the unit on it's side, like a U facing away from meI leaned the unit back towards me a little, and lifted the nearest shelf to my right and I could fit my screwdriver in in straight that way.It took a couple of tries to balance the screws, and if you had a magnetic head it would be no issue. I torqued them right in.I stood the unit up, adjusted the shelf pegs and tightened them down.Done

This is a great shelf...great black finish, not so hard to put together (easiest with an electric screw driver). The bottom three shelves are set up, and it has screw holes marked/started for the top shelf that has to be added. It's really easy if you follow the instructions. It looks GREAT...not too big, but big enough to hold books or whatever. Really nice.

Ordred this for my new office because my director did not want shelves on the wall. This was a perfect solution. It isnt heavy/durable, but it is very functional.

I love this bookcase. It was easy to assemble. I was able to place three boxes of stored books on the shelves. It is compact and classy looking. I highly recommend it. I thought that you would have to put the whole thing together, not so, just the bottom and top shelf. Waalaa!!!!!!

We bought 2 of these for my daughters apartment. They went together very quickly and if we ever have to move her, they will be very easy to transport because they fold. I don't think they can hold very much weight, but we didn't expect them to do so.

The perfect size for a small shelf that fits in the corner. I ordered it with the baskets and put them on the bottom shelves

I wanted some shelving to display pictures. This 4 tier shelf is light weight and portable to carry from place to place. It would be nice if I could find some small spot lights to high light my pictures on each shelf.

Easy to assemble. It took me maybe about 10-15 minutes to put together. Was the perfect size for the corner I had in mind. The shelves are high so it fits the larger cookbooks. Great price. It's not the most expensive finish but I am really happy with it.

This was a great solution to limited room and a style need to match our existing cabinetry in the office! Easy to assemble and holds tall books and notebooks used in my work... I have purchased another for a different area of the house in another wood color.

I hesitated to buy this bookcase because the reviews said it was difficult to assemble. It only took 10 minutes and was easy to put together! It arrived in great shape as it was well packed. It fits perfectly in the small space where I wanted a bookcase. It looks great and is sturdy, too!

We needed a tiny shelf for a tiny corner. This perfectly fit the bill, holds the right amount of books without turning our daughter's room into a library. Her favorite books are right here, along with her fun knickknacks that stay out of little brother's reach!

I ordered four of these to be used for art shows that I do. I was on the fence after reading the reviews but I went ahead and ordered them anyway and I'm glad I did. The units assembled easily and I had no problems with the top shelf as some had indicated. The secret is to read the instructions! You need to attach one swivel peg to the shelf first, insert that into the hole of the frame, then attach the second swivel peg to the shelf. Piece of cake. Some of the earlier reviews also talked about holes not lining up and I see where old holes were filled and new ones drilled, so that problem has been solved. I have used these at a few shows already and they are perfect for my needs. They look very professional, unfold quickly for set-up and collapse flat for easy transport. My only complaint is that one of the units did not come double boxed and therefore there was some damage to the frame. Rather than hassel with a return, I glued the crack and it's fine. I would recommend this shelf for anyone who needs a folding shelf unit.

In the end, I like it. It's simple and has a nice, beach house look to it. The assembly, however, was supposed to be simple. The problem with my unit was that the drilled holes were about a 1/4 inch off, making for a frustrating re-drill job. Had the holes been drilled correctly, this would have been a breeze to setup! Still worth the purchase? In the end, I'd say so.

This shelf was just what we needed to fit in a small space and hold some very heavy plants. We needed sturdy shelves, fairly tall and not too wide. These fit the bill and they were easy to put together. They hold the heavy pots well.
