I really liked the item. It's gorgeous looking shelves. I put it in my kitchen and it looks very nice in it. I put my Keurig coffee machine, toast 'r oven, toaster, Panini maker, boxes etc. and it's very sturdy. I am happy with the buy.

I have been using this bookshelf in my baby's room for almost a year and I am very pleased with it. It was easy to put together. I have all sizes of books on 2 of the shelves and they fit well. I have toys, puzzles, and toys on the top and lowest shelf. I was pleased the color matched my nursery furniture- a dark expresso color. It feels sturdy and is worth the sixty-something dollars I paid.

I've owned these for about a year now and still love them. They're sturdy, haven't suffered from the sun hitting them, dust off easily. It takes a few minutes to put them together, but they're sturdy.

Sturdy, beautiful and easy to put together. The shelf height is also *just* tall enough for me to store my music books so I am happy.

the bookshelf went together easily and was perfect for what I needed: a bookcase to hold my cookbooks in a small space. I have some pretty heavy cookbooks on it, and for an inexpensive shelving unit, there is no warping or sagging of the shelves.

This shelf was the perfect size and color to compliment my husbands home office furniture. I was looking for something that was narrow enough to fit between his desk and the wall and this fit the bill perfectly. but I've had experience assembling bookcases before.Seems sturdy and like it will last which was a major concern since the Walmart bookcase its replacing was cheaply made and collapsed under what I consider to be normal weight.

I was very pleased with this product from the get go. Very simple construction and a solid design coupled with a nice clean espresso finish. I got it constructed in less than 15 minutes with a dewalt portable (You don't really need the drill, all hardware and an allen wrench is included). I would recommend this shelving to anyone, especially for the price... way better option than picking up fiber wood shelving. This is a spectacular little unit for the money. Its sturdy, its finished well, its easy to put together, and its pretty good looking as a piece.If you're like me, the first question you ask is: Ok, what kind of wood? Is this a type of particle board?Thankfully, the answer is that it is not a type of particle board. Its hard to tell due to the stain, but it appears to be made of either beech or poplar, although cedar is a potential as well.The espresso finish is a nice mix of dark brown with a hint of red. If you know your woods... It makes it look very similar to a dark cherry when all is said and done.There are definitely nicer bookshelves out there, but for the money this is a spectacular unit. Highly recommended.

Solid wood, easy assembly, would've been easier with two people, color is as expected; what more could I ask for? I have two flanking either side of the Winsome Wood Rochester Console Table with one Drawer Shaker and it's a nice set up. It accommodates games or DVDs nicely, though my Nintendo DS cases are about half an inch too short to hit the middle support bars on the shelves. If you're not a nut, you can place a piece of cardboard in that space to prevent the games from falling off or you can just pull them forward to the front of the shelf. Great display. Accommodates approximately 40 DVD/game cases on each shelf.

This shelf is awesome! I saw several complaints but when I received mine it was in perfect condition; no scratches breaks or missing parts. It also went together great, and it's very sturdy. This product exceeded my expectations in every respect. Prompt delivery, easily assembled, rich mahogany look. We placed it atop a smaller bookshelf in a very small room my wife uses as her office. Thanks to great engineering, it doesn't wobble at all.

A very high-quality product and well worth the money if you have someone who is careful and physically fit available to assemble them. Sorry, but crawling around on the floor, with the shelves lying on their sides like a ladder that has fallen over, is the only efficient way to handle the assembly. You are using the flat floor to keep the pieces in alignment until you get the whole "ladder" of uprights and inner shelves assembled. Attaching the top shelf is the final step. This is most easily done if you place that shelf upside down on the floor, then raise and upend the "ladder" so that you can see exactly where to attach it to the underside of the top shelf. No peeking underneath and guessing. There is a enough hardware for the job, and it is precisely designed for these shelves. Just make sure you study the diagram before you start and that you have the patience to do the job right.Added note: Another great thing about Winsome shelves is that you can add to the storage potential at any time by hanging (light-weight) hooks and baskets from the side bars. InterDesign Over-the-Cabinet hooks, towel bar, and series of baskets fit nicely over the 5/8-to-3/4-inch thick side bars on my several sets of these shelves. Liberty Over-the-Cabinet hooks work well, too. On one hook I've got a microfiber towel for mopping up after watering plants and on another a pair of work gloves. A basket hanging off the side of the shelves nearest my humidifier holds the humidifier replacement filter and replacement antimicrobial cartridges. I haven't seen any other wooden shelves that you can use as hangers this way. Winsome rocks!
