Perfect for what I wanted. Took about 20 minutes to put together. Comes with an ordinary hex tool which is all you need to assemble. Highly recommend it. For the price hard to beat.

I was looking for shelving to hold my cookbooks that also looked attractive. This shelf fulfilled all of my needs. It was easy to put together with the right tools and two people working together. I did not have to drill the holes bigger or anything like some other reviewers said they had to do. Maybe the manufacturer fixed those issues but we found it easy to put together and it looks great!

I purchased two of these shelving units and used them to store clothing. Works perfectly for that purpose. I found the shelves relatively easy to assemble although attaching the top of the unit was a bit difficult and a few of the screws presented some difficulty. My recommendation is to do what you shop teacher taught you many years ago. Dip the screws in a bit of soap (or rub them across a bar of soap) before using. This will help to lubricate them so that they go in easier. The quality of the shelves was nice as well. I found only very minor imperfections in the wood - mostly on the underside or back of the unit - none that I could see on the tops or front. Overall a great value for the money.

Very nice quality. Plus it looks great.I actually bought this for my cat. I felt guilty after banning her from the sofa, but I couldn't find any tasteful and affordable cat trees (at least none that I liked). This shelving unit is quite sturdy and very pretty. (The cat now has one of the nicest pieces of furniture in my living room!) I weigh about 110lbs and feel comfortable climbing up this myself. I know this isn't its intended purpose, but I can definitely attest to its sturdiness.

I had been looking for a lightweight dark brown bookcase for my living room. Relatively easy to assemble, not overbearing. Fit into my decor. I had bought the 2-shelf units as well. Perfect for an apartment

I put this shelf with baskets by my back door for those things you always forget to grab when playing outside...sunscreen, towels, flip flops. It is great.

This was really pretty, the only thing I have to say is that I didn't read the specifications and from the page it looks huge. When you receive it, it's not. But it's a great product and I used it where I had originally intended so was perfect.

We were looking for a dark brown bookshelf that fit a specific narrow width in our living room. This was the only one that fit the bill. Wish it was taller. But we fit our DVDs/video games in it with one whole shelf to spare. Could put books at the bottom. Nice construction, the wood doesn't look cheap like some of the products I was getting at Target. I can't comment on how easy it is to put together, since my husband did it.

I was impressed with how sturdy this little shelving unit is. It is made entirely of real solid wood, easy to assemble, and comes with beefy hardware and real wood plugs.I wanted to give it 5 stars, but my unit was a bit beat up from the factory (the box was delivered in perfect condition by UPS, a rarity). It had a dent in it, and the finish on many of the rails was uneven.

I made them by myself in 20 mins. They were easy to put together. All holes are present, just make sure you identify the top shelf before you start because it has different holes (they are on the bottom). The best way is to put the back supports in first, then semi attach shelves, and then tighten everything up. Ignore the instructions if you are on your own. They look great. One side is shiny and finished, the other a bit rough but it doesn't affect the look at all.The packaging is pretty eco friendly with only a small amount of polystyrene.

This bookshelf came in excellent condition, was well packaged and was easy to assemble. It is my second Winsome shelf, though of a different style. I will continue to purchase these as they are not pressed wood or particle board. I like wood. This fits the space and the purpose for which it was purchased.

The picture is a little deceiving because it looks much larger than it is but in our case it worked out perfectly for what I bought it for. Very easy to assemble.
