All of the other reviewers were right, I'm glad I went ahead and bought this. It's small but made very well for the price.

It's sterdy enough to hold my books and printer. Assembly was easy enough. Shipping could be more protective, there was a huge hole in the box when it came and one part is a little dinged but compared to other buyers who had huge cracks in theirs so I can't complain much.

It is sturdy and great looking. Perfect to display my figurines and hold my books. It was not difficult to put together. But the instructions left alot to be desired.

This shelf took about 10 minutes to assemble, was affordably priced, and I love the color. I've had it for about 2 years now and it still looks as good as when I bought it. The shelves haven't warped and it still looks good. I recommend.

Very elegant looking!Nice dark espresso finish,almost black,but not quite.Take your time to assemble as pieces not marked,however,pay close attention to the 'pictures' on the diagram/instructions included as if you 'count' the holes and their 'placement' you will correctly find Part A and Part B.A bit scratched, minor as all these do it yourself furniture have.

This bookcase is very sturdy and looks good. It's a good size and was easy to put together. I'm using it in my kitchen for cookbooks and storage.

I bought two of these shelving units to use as bookcases in my small condo. These were some of the nicest looking three shelved units made of solid wood at the price. There is a similiar item that includes the storage baskets - I opted to buy the item that did not include these. The price difference is significant and you can buy similiar storage baskets far cheaper seperately, so if you were looking at the item that includes the baskets, I would recommend buying them seperately.The shelving unit came very nicely packed, in my opinion. There was a small nick on one of the shelves, but it was so small that you can't really tell that it is there. The units were fairly easy to put together - it took me about 25 minutes to put together two of them by myself. A hex key is included and is all that is needed for installation, but you might want to use a small rubber mallet to pound in the wooden plugs that cover the screw holes. I was too lazy to dig out my toolbox and used a screwdriver handle I had laying around with a cloth over it in order not to damage the finish. The most difficult part of putting this together was the top shelf. When getting to that part, I found it easier to put the top shelf on the ground, then place the unit on top of it upside down, and screw the screws in while it was laying upside down on the floor.As for the actual unit, it is solid wood, which is really nice for the price point. There was a slight flex in the wood which made the feet ever so slightly uneven in both units I put together. Before dinging the product for that too hard though, I understand this is a mass produced product so slight variances are understandable. The slight flex actually helped here though - I loaded up one of the units with books and it seemed to settle down and straighten out once there was weight on the lower shelf. One of the shelving units is completely packed full of heavy certification guides and hardcovers and doesn't show any sagging at all, which is a problem I've found with cheaper bookcases that use fiberboard/pressboard construction. The finish is a really nice, dark, rich color, but it definitely needs to air out a bit. After unpacking, the smell is pretty noticable. After a day, however, it doesn't seem to be there anymore.I really like it - for the price, you get a nice finish, solid wood, sturdy enough to pack full of books. I wish the item had a little better quality control in the pieces, but again, for a mass produced product that you put together yourself, I think the quality is really high. The smell of the finish might bother some people who are sensitive to smell, but the smell fades quickly. The slight wobble was fixed after putting some weight on the shelves and letting the unit sit for awhile. Could the wood be nicer? Sure, but it is hard to beat at this price. It seems like the negative reviews I read might have been when quality control went through a low point, but I did not encounter any glaring issues and I am very happy about my purchase. This definitely beats any of the cheap pressboard bookscase you will find in big box stores and looks like it will last a very long time.

This bookshelf looks great and was very affordable. It was really easy to put together. I would definitely recommend it!

I purchased two of these shelving units and used them to store clothing. Works perfectly for that purpose. I found the shelves relatively easy to assemble although attaching the top of the unit was a bit difficult and a few of the screws presented some difficulty. My recommendation is to do what you shop teacher taught you many years ago. Dip the screws in a bit of soap (or rub them across a bar of soap) before using. This will help to lubricate them so that they go in easier. The quality of the shelves was nice as well. I found only very minor imperfections in the wood - mostly on the underside or back of the unit - none that I could see on the tops or front. Overall a great value for the money.

Good sturdy product. I only wish it was wider but I did know the dimensions. I would buy another one.

I had been looking for a lightweight dark brown bookcase for my living room. Relatively easy to assemble, not overbearing. Fit into my decor. I had bought the 2-shelf units as well. Perfect for an apartment

This was really pretty, the only thing I have to say is that I didn't read the specifications and from the page it looks huge. When you receive it, it's not. But it's a great product and I used it where I had originally intended so was perfect.

I was impressed with how sturdy this little shelving unit is. It is made entirely of real solid wood, easy to assemble, and comes with beefy hardware and real wood plugs.I wanted to give it 5 stars, but my unit was a bit beat up from the factory (the box was delivered in perfect condition by UPS, a rarity). It had a dent in it, and the finish on many of the rails was uneven.

The shelves turned out to be different than I expected but it was nicer and more elegant looking. I've had good luck with this brand of wood products.

This bookshelf came in excellent condition, was well packaged and was easy to assemble. It is my second Winsome shelf, though of a different style. I will continue to purchase these as they are not pressed wood or particle board. I like wood. This fits the space and the purpose for which it was purchased.

This shelving unit assembles fairly easily using an impact driver, took about 8 minutes. The shelving unit seams fairly sturdy, the wood they use is something cheaper than pine, but not too soft. Overall probably slightly overpriced, but my wife likes it.

flimsy but functional. Arrives in several pieces, but easy to install. wood color is as advertised. I bought 3 pieces and they work well together.

Went together very easily and is tight and sturdy once completed. My only minor complaint is that the finish on the wood feels a little rough and is somewhat uneven and "scuffed" looking in places, none of which are readily noticeable. I am using this in a corner below my wall mounted flat screen tv, it holds the cable box, roku, dvd player with room to spare, and since the back and sides are open allows for passage of wiring. All in all I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Looks good but it is not meant to be loaded up with books. It seems to be more decorative. I have some heavy duty books. I am afraid to fill it up.
