This is a great shelf. Getting ready to order another

Very pleased with this little shelf! Perfect for displaying books and pictures. Pretty simple assembly, just get all the screws started and then tighten each one a little at a time and keep rotating through them (like the lug nuts on a tire) rather than doing each one all the way at once. Used my own Allen wrench as the one included didn't look to be of great quality. I find this to be very well made for the price, and may buy more in the future to tuck inside our closets to keep shoes, etc, organized. A tip... be sure to position the shelf with the stickers on it at the bottom so that they aren't visible. Enjoy!

I just got this shelf in and was able to assemble it myself in under an hour. The good points are: that it is made out of real wood, instead of particleboard and veneer. Second, all the screw holes match up and it just uses screws instead of those irritating twist-lock things. Third, everything squared up and went together the way it was designed to (no misdrilled holes). Completed, it looks good and feel sturdy. The bad points are, the tolerances on the screws and screw holes are tight. This may be a good thing for sturdiness but it is not for ease of assembly. The blood is just now coming back into my thumbs. The dinky little hex wrench they give you to tighten these screws is completely inadequate to the task. Get a hex driver. Also, it is stained this dark brown color that reminds me of 80s era board rooms and conference centers. They need to make these in black and/or grey. Bottom line though, I will remember this company and buy from them again.

It's the perfect solution for my multitude of various objet 'arts given the space I have. I was going to go with floating shelves when I happened on this shelf unit. I agonized for a while; not sure if the espresso finish would match my entertainment unit. Short answer; it does; perfectly! Very fast delivery and all components were in perfect condition. Took about 30 minutes with very easy assembly. While the floating shelves would have been more; shall we say, aesthetic to the eye, It would take more than 5 - 36X4 shelves to get the shelf area of one of these units. I ordered another for the other side. Another plus is not having to punch a lot of holes in my newly installed drywall. I say I agonized, because I always make the mistake of checking out the bad reviews first. Very pleased with my all wood nicely finished shelf unit.Update: I am more that pleased now that I have everything placed. I used one anchor through the back of each unit for increased steadiness although it set very well on the carpet. If one has limited space, this shelf unit should work very well for you. It is exactly as it appears on the site page.

My room is tiny and I need very space conserving furniture. This was perfect for that. I will say though, it was AGGRAVATING to put together.

Very sturdy, easy assembly. Nice shelf for small spaces. Fits standard baskets from the dollar store perfectly.

For this item to say some assembly needed. This thing needs to be built. Nonsense and too much time on this thing.

Easy to assemble. One shelf does have a scratch but no big deal. Have it in a very small bedroom and it's perfect. I should buy it again for my office. It's also good quality. Highly recommend

This unit is easy to assemble; approx 15-20 minutes. Surprisingly sturdy and great for a myriad of functions.

My room is tiny so this was a perfect addition to it! It came wrapped and safe in it's box. It's maybe a foot shorter than me (I'm 5'7.) great little book shelf!

Very nice piece of furniture. My son and I just put it together today. It took us about 45 minutes total, but I had read the reviews and expected some assembly problems. That's why I had help and used my own allen wrench. The 12 screw holes are pre-drilled with a much smaller diameter because they want the screws to bite. Not a problem with a screwdriver or an electric screwdriver, but a 50 cent allen wrench won't cut it. Ironically, the pre-drilled holes for the pegs had a loose fit so it was challenging to fit the the right side on as the crossbars kept slipping out of place. Patience - work from one end to the other.The last 4 screws on the top are a pain because of the obstruction from the top rail. We took turns putting in those screws.On the plus side, it looks great - it's very sturdy - and it's exactly what I wanted, so worth the aggravation.Side note: they include a 'no tip' kit to anchor it to the wall. Those tools are not provided. Be prepared to have a stud finder, a drill, and a screwdriver if you want to anchor the shelves.

Sturdy, heavy and great for small spaces. Real wood. Would definitely recommend.

Beware of assembly - pay strict attention to detail. Once together it looks pretty good., it all lined up solid. At this price point flaws are expected, but all I've noticed are some rough patches where the sanding wasn't smooth - very little of it and really no problem. I have it in the corner of my office where any flaws aren't noticed and it's working very well for my needs. I'd definitely recommend.

This shelf was absolutely perfect as a plant stand between to chairs in my family room.
