This unit is easy to assemble; approx 15-20 minutes. Surprisingly sturdy and great for a myriad of functions.

My room is tiny so this was a perfect addition to it! It came wrapped and safe in it's box. It's maybe a foot shorter than me (I'm 5'7.) great little book shelf!

Very nice piece of furniture. My son and I just put it together today. It took us about 45 minutes total, but I had read the reviews and expected some assembly problems. That's why I had help and used my own allen wrench. The 12 screw holes are pre-drilled with a much smaller diameter because they want the screws to bite. Not a problem with a screwdriver or an electric screwdriver, but a 50 cent allen wrench won't cut it. Ironically, the pre-drilled holes for the pegs had a loose fit so it was challenging to fit the the right side on as the crossbars kept slipping out of place. Patience - work from one end to the other.The last 4 screws on the top are a pain because of the obstruction from the top rail. We took turns putting in those screws.On the plus side, it looks great - it's very sturdy - and it's exactly what I wanted, so worth the aggravation.Side note: they include a 'no tip' kit to anchor it to the wall. Those tools are not provided. Be prepared to have a stud finder, a drill, and a screwdriver if you want to anchor the shelves.

Sturdy, heavy and great for small spaces. Real wood. Would definitely recommend.

Beware of assembly - pay strict attention to detail. Once together it looks pretty good., it all lined up solid. At this price point flaws are expected, but all I've noticed are some rough patches where the sanding wasn't smooth - very little of it and really no problem. I have it in the corner of my office where any flaws aren't noticed and it's working very well for my needs. I'd definitely recommend.

This shelf was absolutely perfect as a plant stand between to chairs in my family room.

Love these shelves! Purchased two of them for my remodel. Easy to assemble, price is good and love the look.

The holes do not line up well, and as others have noted, they have placed a huge stick beneath the top shelf that is next to impossible to get off all the way.That being said it seems sturdy and will hopefully stand the test of time in that regard.

I'm happy with this shelving unit. I need it for my small space to keep books on. I assembled it myself, but I highly recommend using a screw gun with a hex/alan wrench bit - turning the screws by hand with the hex wrench provided was ... not easy. The screw holes are tight, so turning the screws in was a bit much by hand. Having someone to help fit hold parts at one end together would be a good idea as well.It seems sturdy enough, better than many other shelving units I've purchased before. I will be sure to place heavier books on the bottom though.

This is actulally my 3rd Winsome Leo shelf I bought over the period of time. And I am very happy with them. They are very easy to assemble. The holes are precisely aligned and hardware is good quality. They are solid wood, and the sale price makes it unbeatable choice.

This is a beautiful, heavy, functional small bookcase. The instructions were clear, but because it is so heavy it was a little tough to maneuver on my own. It works in the corner, but there are warnings that it should be anchored to the wall. We put heavy books on the lower shelves and lighter items higher up. It is a beautiful dark piece of furniture.

I bought this to go next to my vanity for extra makeup and body spray/lotion. It is the perfect size. It was easy to assemble and didn't take long. It is sturdy and great quality. I love it and I'm thinking about buying a 2nd one as I love the way it looks
