The materials are very cheaply manufactured and did come with a few blemishes - faux wood laminated boards were peeling or chipped in a couple of places at the edges. The assembly is simple enough, in concept, however it took a little extra attention to detail to make sure all of the pieces fully fit together and seated properly. This item is definitely not sturdy for heavier loads, I wouldn't put a heavy old-fashioned tube TV on it or let an adult sit on it. Based on these quality drawbacks, I feel that the nearly $100 cost was too high, it should sell for more like $65-75 range. However, despite all of this, it works exactly for what I needed - a convenient corner stand that is smaller than a TV entertainment stand but big enough to hold a handful of smaller A/V electronics - router/modem, cable box, HDMI switch, game console, mini PC and external storage drive and power strip for devices. And then there's even a little room to spare. It allowed me to clean up what was otherwise a hodge-podge mess of devices shoved in the corner sitting on top of an ottoman or on the floor. So, overall, depending on your need, this could be a great buy functionally, but if you're looking for a full-scale entertainment stand for a 40 or larger TV and full on stereo equipment, I would pass on this for something stronger and of better quality.
