I've bought six of these lovely step stools. My original intention was to have only two -- one for the kitchen and one for another room. But, every time family members saw them, they raved about the stools so much that I ended up giving them away. And then I had to order more for myself. :)I had absolutely no problems assembling any of the six step stools (and my right side is weak from a stroke). One step stool is in my kitchen, to help me reach the top shelves -- and it looks so attractive that it really dresses up the entire kitchen. The other one is in the dining room, next to my garden window, to help me reach the plants on the higher shelf. It, too, looks like a hand-made piece and looks right at home in there.I never cease to admire how lovely these stools are and how they fit into the smallest spaces. I just wish I didnt have to hide them whenever more family members come over. :)

Easy to put together. I didn't even look at the instructions. I'm currently using it as an end table for my sofa. It adds a spark to my living room. I'll probably never use it as a step stool... But that was the plan.

This step stool seems very sturdy and was a breeze to put together. It turned out to be the perfect size for my master bath and I use it to sit on when I apply makeup and when I need to change the lights. It's nice that I don't have to go pull out the bigger step ladder all the time.

Not hard to assemble. Very sturdy and perfect height to reach stuff from the highest cabinet in the kitchen. So far my husband and I love it. And it also became our sitting stool where we sit on it while having meal on the kitchen island!

This stool is sturdy and the finish is fine. We use it to reach high bookshelves in our den and it looks very nice ... we leave it out all the time.

This is everything I hoped except for the color. It was easy to put together, sturdy, and attractive. What I didn't like is that the walnut color had a red tone. If I had not already had a couple of other stools (walnut saddle stools) I may not have noticed and been would have given it an enthusiastic 5 stars.

This is a a very handy little stool. The fold out step makes it easier to step up on. Seems very stable and looks nice too. Was fairly complicated to put together.

THIS STEP STOOL IS MADE OF REAL WOOD AND A BEAUTIFUL COLOR. IT WAS VERY EASY TO PUT TOGETHER. IT IS VERY STRONG AND STURDY. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE. IT IS AN EXCEPTIONAL HEIGHT AND WEIGHT. 23" HIGH AND 12" WIDE WITH A GREAT STEP TO PULL OUT OR LEAVE IN AND OUT OF SIGHT. A LOVELY COLOR OF ANTIQUE WALNUT. GREAT BUY!!!

This compact stool is perfect in a closet. In addition to being easy to maneuver to reach items on the top shelves, it doubles as a place to sit while putting on socks. It's easy to assemble and sturdy enough. I would not use this outdoors or where lots of stability is required.

Nice little stool. You need to assemble it yourself which took me about 20 minutes. The only fault is that the base is the same width as the top so it can be a little unstable if you're not careful. Make sure you step on the middle of each step instead of the sides.

I' m very happy with the stool now that it is put together. It looks great in my kitchen, but it took my husband over an hour to put it together and he is very handy.

Pros:* Beautiful dark wood and elegant construction. You can leave it out all the time.* Easy to assemble.* Wide steps.* I didn't realize when I got it, but the ability to fold up the bottom step means this thing is great to just leave out with a small footprint.Cons:* None. I love this thing.I bought this because I have cats and large dogs and I feed the cats on a table above the reach of the dogs. However, one of my cats is 17 years old and her days of leaping up three feet are long gone. I had a basket that cut the distance down to half that, but she still sometimes fell. I searched all over for "cat stairs", but apparently no one has filled that little niche market yet. I had also tried an old wooden stepstool, but it had very narrow steps and after I watched her slip off that too I knew I had to do something. It really broke my heart to watch her, so I'm very thankful to have found this perfect stepstool. Each level is only a foot high now and the steps are wide enough that she feels safe and solid on each one. It's also not a bad thing that's it's so pretty it's a permanent fixture and readily available for me to move over a few feet and use to get in a high kitchen cabinet.
