These barstools were easy to put together and they are solid and sturdy. I ordered black and the color is a deep rich black. They are perfect!

I needed a single stool for my newly put together sewing area. I converted the closet that used to hold the washer and dryer into a small sewing center. I can close the louvered doors and hide the project mess. This saddle seat stook works great for me! It is very sturdy, solid, easy to put together and it slides easily under the fold up counter top. Truly a win-win. The price difference for the black finish vs the dark brown was significant, so this spring, I'll paint it black so I can pull it out and use it on the kitchen when needed. Certainly glad I have this stool!

The holes were too small for the screws. So when twisting the screws stripped. As a result the chair wobbles.

Easy to assemble. After 1 year of use these stools are almost useless. They are very cheaply made. The screws no longer stay tight and they feel as if they're going to fall to the floor when you sit on them.

Do yourself a favor and buy different screwsthe one that come with the stool are soft and are a nightmare to tighten without stripping the head. Not to mention the hex key that comes with it is filthy and oily. I bought new flat-head wood screws at our local hardware store (14 x 1 3/4”) and it made assembly so much easier. The stools are great otherwise!

Good quality for the price.I guarantee people complaining that it fell apart did not tighten the seat Allen's correctly, or they installed the legs upside down. As usual, these types of items are best assembled with a power tool. Otherwise you need to key them very tight to tap the wood sufficiently.

Nothing is complicated about the design or the assembly of these stools.... until you begin inserting and tightening the screws with the provided, slightly undersized allen wrench. The pre-drilled holes in the wood are a tight fit which would be good IF the metal screws could be tightened without stripping the hex holes. Once a screw hex has stripped, which happens fast due to the soft metal, you'll need a screw extractor kit or settle for a wobbly stool. I needed to bore out all the pre-drilled holes in order to be able to tighten without stripping.

These are pretty, fairly durable, lightweight enough to easily move from room to room if needed, and easy to assemble. The dip in the seat adds to the comfort but I wouldn't want to sit in them for a prolonged amount of time (more than an hour or so probably).

Two pieces that were to fit and separate between legs in assembly process were very obviously measured incorrectly. So because they were not possible to insert between the legs have to cover the stool to hide this obvious error.

I actually needed these for use at a computer that is too high for children, but nothing I could do about that. I needed seating for kindergarten students. Adult chairs had them sitting in their feet and student chairs had them at the wrong height. My husband actually cut a little off the legs to make them work perfectly. I don't worry about the students tipping them over. They're solid.
