I searched all over for shorter stools. Our counter is not as high as a BAR and so we needed 24 inch stools. These were the BEST price I could find for solid wood and they are made very well. I will say though, they were a little harder to put together, or time consuming than we first thought they would be. Besides that, they are a great buy. Very sturdy and well made

My husband had no problems putting them together. I did. When finished, they look great. They seem very sturdy. For a few more dollars you can order them already assembled.

I really like this stool but had to wait 2 months to get the missing hardware. The wood plugs that cover the screws don't fit perfectly.

love these stools, and the price is beats most stores. They went together easily - my 10 yr old did most of it. They look great and are very comfortable to pop up on for an island meal.

These look great once assembled. The first of teh 3 took me a while to get together, because it was not even partially assembled. All the peices only go on in one way. Once I figured it out the next two only took a few minutes.

I ordered 3 of these for my kitchen counter/bar area and they are exactly what I hoped they'd be. I wanted something solid wood, sturdy and contemporary -- I couldn't be happier with these. They were delivered in small, flat boxes and the assembly was a piece of cake (my 10 year old daughter helped). Not sure if this was intentional, but I received a couple of extra wood plugs with each stool (the small pieces that fit over the screw holes). It'll be nice to have extras if I ever need them. Even though the stool don't have backs, they are incredibly comfortable thanks to the slight scoop design of the seat and the thickness of the wood.

These chairs look really nice in my apartment but not too comfortable when you sit in them for a really long time.

I bought this for 24 dollars so I wasn't expecting much. It's great, work as intended, it's lightweight but solid.

I had fallen in love with Pottery Barn's Tibetan Bar Stools, but was struggling to justify the price point. While this Winsome Wood version only cost about 30% of what Pottery Barn's version did, I am 100% satisfied! They are solid stools whose quality I would easily compare to the Pottery Barn stools. I am very happy with the purchase: they look like a big ticket item for a fraction of the cost and are comfortable and sturdy.

I've been waiting to buy this kind of stool for a long time because the prices were always too high, even at the discount stores. As soon as I saw it was under $40 I immediately bought it. It looks great and it was easy to assemble.

These look really nice. They weren't hard to put together. I did use some wood glue on it to give it extra support. I bought these because they match our kitchen table and chairs. The height is perfect. We haven't used them yet so not sure how well they will hold up.

As these were the cheapest ones I could find, I wasn't expecting much in terms of quality. However, they are AWESOME. Solid, heavy and very sleek. Love them.

Hey guys, this is a great stool at an even better price!I had a couple counter height stools that I wanted to replace because of their lack of solidity. They were made of rubber wood and these Winsome Saddle Seats 24-inch Counter Stools are made of Beechwood. For those who are unsure of the differences, the differences between the two types of wood are definitely noticeable. Rubber wood is lighter than Beechwood and seems as though Beechwood is more dense. These stools definitely have a heft to them and I believe lends it to being a very solid piece of furniture that will last throughout the ages. Beechwood is known as the industry norm for furniture for restaurants. They use it because it is solid and lasts! Some complained of constructions woes, stripped screws, and etc. I had no problems assembling these stools. Took approximately 20 minutes with the hardware and tools provided. I did use some wood glue as a previous reviewer had recommended. In addition, I used a little dab of wood glue on each and every screw to act as a lubricant and extra layer of protection from the screw being back out by vibration and movement of the legs over time. We will see how well it holds the screw in, but using the glue as a lubricant will help prevent those stripped screws that other individuals were talking about. If you are on the fence about these stools, let me push you over and just get them! You will be glad you did.
