Needing more desk space Ive been considering this desk for a while now but didnt want to buy it because of the price. There are cheaper printer stands out there, but this is one of the few that matches my desks size and finish. I ended up buying it this Christmas when my wife told me to order it for myself as a present.Like most pieces of utility furniture you buy these days this stand arrives unassembled. Im sure most of you have had some experience with desks and bookshelves that have anywhere from 6 to a dozen assembly steps detailed with poorly written/translated assembly instructions. This printer stand is not like that. It comes in six main pieces: the four legs, the top of the desk and the lower shelf. I didnt have to assemble the sliding drawer it was already assembled and installed in its place. All I had to do was attach the four legs, push in four pegs for the shelf and install the drawer knob. The hardware includes a wrench for attaching the legs. It does the job, but I wanted to use something better. Funny thing is that it took longer for me to find my tools than it did to put the stand together. On to the quality when I had a look at the pieces I understood the price. This is not laminated particleboard or MDF material. This is solid wood construction. The stand is sturdy, everything lined up perfectly during assembly, and it has a nice finish. If they make a desk the same size as what I have now Id seriously consider ordering one of those as well.
