The wood is very nice, with a smooth finish and warm color. The bookshelf must be assembled and takes some work, just because there are a lot of flat pieces. The boards are precisely cut and fit together very well. The bolt holes are perfectly drilled. The bookshelf is a simple but attractive design. There is nothing like real wood. I highly recommend this bookshelf and the manufacturer.

I have gotten two of these. They are solid, nice-looking shelves that are easy to assemble.That said, a couple warnings:The first one was a bit damaged in shipping. The wood seems to be on the brittle side, and so is vulnerable to the slings and arrows of the shipping process. The damage was minor, so I ignored it, but for some people that might have been a deal breaker.The second one survived shipping without injury. I was interested to note that it was not quite identical to the first (even though I had ordered it off of the same page, a couple months later). The differences were subtle, and didn't bother me, but if you're looking for an exact match you may want to order all the shelves at the same time. I suspect that they switched suppliers.Overall, a nice shelf for the money.

This product arrived in good condition, well packaged and on time. I assembled it in less than one hour. It appears as promised in the description with a nice honey tone. It is sturdy and will work well as a small bookcase for cookbooks, etc.Cons: there were a few nicks and dings on the wood but the worst them were on the bottom part of the shelves and will not be noticeable. I already have a wood pen to fix the one scratch that is visible. One of the screw holes was misaligned and so the top shelf is only screwed on in three spots (not four), but that isn't an issue with stability (but if the same thing happened with one of the shelves that would have meant sending it back).

Pretty much anytime you go to the store looking for furniture these days, you end up leaving with an overpriced piece of pressboard of questionable durability. I ordered three of these Winsome products for my office to hold large, heavy, reference books and they are perfect for this. Not only are they sturdy (and solid wood), they look great and the spacing between the shelves is ideal for large texts.

This book shelf is beautiful. Easy assembly looks phenomenal. My only reservation is the cost...I think it is way over priced.

This is a great bookcase that would work in almost any room. It's very sturdy and it was easy to assemble. I liked it so much that I bought a second one. An excellent product at a very good price!

This is a quality piece of furniture. I am buying another one today for my office to hold technical books and plants on the top. The person who put this together is a master cabinet maker and he said - this is a nice little shelf and WOW is he critical of things made from wood. It is such a nice honey color. Perfect, sturdy and will likely last a very long time. Is perfect after 6 mths and is filled with heavy books.

I have bought 2 of these a few months apart. I bought the first one to go next to my back door. I have a tiny kitchen and needed some place to set my canisters. This fit the space available perfectly. It is well made and a pleasing color. It coordinates well with my hickory cabinets.

REALLY nice quality wood, easy to assemble, nice looking, sturdy but elegant, not bulky, simple design... Overall, a very nice desk. We are using it for our new 22 flatscreen TV in the kitchen. Fits perfectly in the corner and the TV screen does not hang over the edges. Fits perfectly.

solid wood product, easy to assemble with cordless drill with correct Allen bit, nice size next to desk. CONS: made from that nasty Asian hardwood that's a few steps up from particle board covered in photo finish wood grain.

I have several Winsome wood items, and have not been disappointed with any of them. The wood is solid and the bookcase is very sturdy once assembled. The color is true to the photo. Assembly was very easy. I would definitely recommend!

Actually went together easily and finished sturdy. Needs a caution to leave all the bolt connectors gently tightened only until the legs are screwed to the lower platform so that all comes together smoothly, but once accomplished, it is a great corner table.
