This stuff is awesome! I use it to oil in my paintings after they have dried a few weeks and this gives me the option to rework a painting if necessary. I also use it to mix with certain colors that take a long time to dry. Good choice!

For use with oil paints. I have used Liquin for years as a painting medium and for glazing. Also can be used as a varnish when your oil painting has dried. If your oils dry to a dull finish this brings the colors back to life. Use sparingly as a varnish, the thinnest coat. Dry in a well ventilated room but not a cold room as it will gel up.I put the paintings in the wash room with the vent fan on to bring the vapors out of the room. Will dry in about 36 hours. Dries to a matt/semi gloss finish. Not a high gloss. Strong fumes.

Oil painting medium, strengthening oil pain and as a great side it heightens drying time. I have been using for years

This works great. I’m not sure if it was supposed to be jellied or not but it still works just fine.

This version of Winsor Newton's Liquin has always been my favorite and I've used all the Liquin products offered over the decades. It allows very fine, delicate glazes with oil paints and accelerates the oxidation of your applications which is a must for the glazing process. Also, I have used Liquin gel to build up a low relief appearing bark on trees in some paintings. In a way, Liquin allows the artist to use oil paints as freely as he or she does acrylic paints. However, Winsor Newton fine art oils are octaves above acrylic paints in my opinion. Liquin allows the delicate colors of the fine oil pigments to show through with an extra dance of light in the process. That dance of light is what glazing is all about.

I like that it's smoother and works the best for when I oil paint. I've tried others but have had the best with this
