Mission: Worldreader works globally with partners to support vulnerable and underserved communities with digital reading solutions that help improve learning outcomes and open minds.

Results: Since 2010, Worldreader and its partners have brought digital reading to people around the world, helping children and youth improve their lives with books in schools, homes, and communities – including in crisis and conflict settings. As of August 10,2021, we have distributed over 64 million digital books to over 19 million children and young adults across six regions (East Africa, West Africa, Latin America, Middle East/North Africa, South Asia, and the United States).

Target demographics: children and young adults

Direct beneficiaries per year: 3.6 million readers

Geographic areas served: Vulnerable communities across the globe

Programs: access to a library of thousands of high-quality e-books via any connected mobile phone or tablet. We work with partner organizations such as schools, libraries, and respected NGOs to keep children reading at home and in school through comprehensive reading programs, including providing digital books that promote social emotional learning, improve reading comprehension, and integrate into partners' existing programming to enhance learning.
