This product was easy to use, it was my first time and I was a bit nervous but it was fairly easy and the jewels fell off on day ten with no complications or problems.I do recommend getting this bander and also making sure you have anti septic spray to keep from infection and fly spray to keep flies off and you should be good. I also gave a tetanus shot 3-4 weeks before banding than another the day of banding.

Great for the more developed bucks. It's size makes the process a breeze. Just remember not past the nipple just before.

I bought one of these banders to take care of bull calves born after branding when we weaned. Was much safer than using a knife for the person performing the task of castration. More recently due to health and weather issues we were unable to brand before going to summer pasture so we processed all of the bulls the the chute and used this bander. It wasnt a super fun job but did get 100 bulls weighing 500-650 lbs done in a morning. Some of the bigger oysters take some more finesse to get them both thru the band so would encourage trying to use before the bulls reach 500 lbs.

Solid product that does what it should. Calves not happy to see it coming.Note: Make sure to use the correct bands for this tool. Not all bands work with various banders. Father in-law got wrong bands at CO OP and they didn’t really work. I kept breaking them. I use the black XL bands.Would buy again from seller. No issues there.
