I originally purchased a cheaper lamp post light I would have had to wire in. No problem since the wires were already there. However, it felt cheap, and I could not get the glass pieces in. So, I decided to spend more money and buy solar. This lamp post light is perfect. Definitely a better-quality product just by materials used alone. It also came already put together. I just got it on my post so can't say how bright the light is. I will update later.Here is my update. As a note my lamp post is in full sun light almost all day. The light at night is bright and lasts until dawn breaks! Totally thrilled with this light.

These look fantastic during the daytime, and provide a pleasant amount of light. You can see the grass about 6 feet around the lights. The color of the light is also nice and matched the rest of the lights I have on my house.

I purchased this lantern in April and so far it is working beautifully. The light stays on until dawn and lights very good. The price is very fair and reasonable.

Great product, very easy to install. Just be careful not to tighten the crews too tight. I did and it cracked. very small but still there. I did not rate it on longevity because it's only been up maybe a month or so. i will update if there are any issues.

Works better than expected. Was a little worried because sun exposure is limited due to trees but the solar light works fantastic.

We installed two of these solar lights a few months ago. So far they've been great! They are nice and bright and provide a good amount of light for a very dark area. They stay on pretty much all night, although they do dim as the night goes on. Exactly what we needed.

I love these lights! I used liquid nails to mount these on my brick pillars. I was impressed on how bright they are and how they are still on at dawn. The on and off switch is a nice feature as well. I would buy these lights again.

Love this lantern! Surprisingly bright. Easy to install. Looks like an expensive hard wired lantern. I am VERY happy with my purchase so far. I hope it will last a long time. Worth the price!!!

Perhaps my expectation s weren't all that high, since I've had a similar lamp from another company before which was disappointing.Most importantly, this lamp is much brighter.I like the solar panels being at an angle. First, the sun is never directly overhead. I was able to position the lamp so three sides each get more direct sunlight at some point during the day. Second, I'm expecting to NOT have to clean bird poop off the panels the way I did with the flat-top panels.We already had a disconnected gas lamp in our yard from many years ago. That made installation a snap as we already had a hardy three inch pole firmly inserted in the ground.I'm happy I bought this lamp!

The light was easy to install. If you have a brick or stone mailbox make sure you get a stone or concrete drill bit (masonry bit) to put holes in your top area. I drilled 2 wholes and mine held sturdy even though the light has 4 hole spots to secure to base.

I got this light fixture to replace an old wired fixture. It is pretty and on sunny days it charges fully, so it is bright and it looks great. On those days it will stay pretty bright until probably 2 am, then it gets weaker as times passes. During cloudy days the performance is poor and light is weak to almost none.I would recommend this fixture for places where you get consistent sunlight during the day. I've only have the light for a few weeks and lately have had a lot of cloudy days, so I am not too thrilled with it. Again, I would recommend it for locations where sunlight is more frequent all year round.

I installed this on my block wall, which required me to use a concrete drill to make the holes and insert concrete plugs for the bolt threads. The problem is that the screw holes in the base are about two inches from the bottom of the base with no guide tubes. This made it somewhat difficult to correctly align the drill holes in the block. This unit needs to come with a bolt pattern stencil to make it easier to mount. It looks really nice, and has soft brightness for about 2/3rds of the night, then starts to dim in the early morning. I really like it, it just right for a soft lighting of the walkway.

I had always wish we had a gas light or a street lantern out in front of the house but I didn't have a gas or electrical connection. So we tried the solar lantern and it turned out great. Sturdy and nice looking! We live in Wisconsin and it illuminates all night during the winter. Check out the picture, it is four years later and it doesn't cost a dime to run. Definitely give it five stars.

Pretty looking but not bright enough. I will need at least 4 for the brightness I am looking for my patio. The price is way too high the brightness you get.

This lamp was great for about a year until it almost burned up. The pics show what happened to one of the battery slots. It became so hot the battery expanded and melted the slot and became logged in. The lamp is now useless. Glad I caught it smoking and disconnected it before it turned into a real chinese lantern. Now I need to find / buy another. Thanks
