Works great to cover up all sorts of sounds. I'm a very light sleeper but with ear plugs and this little machine, I sleep through almost the whole night. One con is that after about a year and a half, it has started to make a clacking sound and if I didn't wear ear plugs, it'd be very distracting.

This has been a sleep saver for my wife and I. We use it every night to help keep our little baby girl from hearing our cat's meows among many other things. I'm not sure that I can say it always makes her calm, and there have not been nights where we haven't used it, so it's hard to say what its real effect has been. I'm happy with it, but just wish it was a lot cheaper.

Works well. This is the second one I have purchased. The first one lasted for many years before the sound became a little variable. The natural sound this makes is so much better for my sleep than digital noises. I am a very light sleeper and this either completely masks the sound or reduces sounds enough that I do not wake up. I moved from the city to the country and needed some background noise to sleep!

We became accustomed to white noise from a window AC unit while we slept, but recently upgraded our HVAC system to the real deal. We found the quiet made it hard to fall asleep and even harder to stay asleep when my husband woke up got ready in the morning while I was still in bed. We purchased this device because 1) it mimics a fan/whooshing noise; 2) it stays on all night; and 3) it's small. At first, I thought it wasn't going to be loud enough, but that's proven not to be true. We love it and would highly recommend for anyone who needs to cover up noise.

Easy to use and effective. I give it 4/5 for 2 reasons, 1. We keep it on the floor by our son's crib and the switch is just tough enough that I can't turn it on and off with my foot and 2. It does get warm when left on for long periods. We do leave it on all night while my son sleeps but I make sure it is turned off as soon as I go in his room.

Bought this in August and was really enjoying it until the low setting completely stopped working last week. It's not a cheap product so I expected it to last a little longer than 8 months.

I cannot even sleep without it. I fall asleep minutes after switching it on and these things are definitely built to last. My job as a wedding photographer keeps me out sometimes 12 hours and until midnight most weekends, so I need something to drown out neighborhood noises the morning after. I actually need to set an alarm or I will sleep in far too long. I would and do very highly recommend this to anyone.

Can't be beat! If you are contemplating whether or not to purchase it, just go ahead and do so. Worth every penny. I have one that has lasted me almost 10 years now.

These are SO wonderful. I love that the sound is adjustable. Even with all of the ???white noise??? apps on the market, I still prefer the classic noise this offers. The cord is long enough to accommodate most bedroom layouts. This unit is replacing one I???ve had for five years. The motor was wearing down and was too loud. So well worth the money.
