I have insomnia. Once asleep I stay asleep, it is falling asleep that is the problem. Since I got this machine I have been able to fall asleep much more easily with fewer nights of being awake staring at the ceiling. Wish I would have bought it sooner! The sound is soothing, not really loud, I can still hear a knock at the door or one of the grandchildren stirring. I didn't want nor need something that played waves or birds or rain. I have a CD of those sounds and I would concentrate on what was happening rather than being lulled to sleep. This white noise doesn't distract. Nothing to stimulate another sense by associating and connecting a picture in my mind to go along with the sound.

I bought this for my toddler's room after we moved into a new neighborhood with a lot of loud dogs that bark all through the night. My only regret is that I didn't purchase this when my son was a newborn. This sound machine is a true life saver and does an amazing job of drowning out background noise. My son has always been a super light sleeper, waking up to the slightest of noises like toilets flushing, door knobs turning or faucets on, which really made it difficult for the rest of the family to live normally at night. With this machine, we no longer have to walk on tip toes at night! This is the absolute best purchase for anyone who has a light sleeper in the family!

I have to say I have been sleeping better after using this. The white noise really helps instead of hearing dead silence, or random noises while trying to fall asleep. Adjustable noise level is a great feature.

This is like having a fan on, blocks out road traffic noise early in the morning so I can sleep with windows open. It has an adjustable steady hum so you are not listening or waiting for a certain sequence or melody, just a steady drone, perfect to doze off to.

This is like having a fan on, blocks out road traffic noise early in the morning so I can sleep with windows open. It has an adjustable steady hum so you are not listening or waiting for a certain sequence or melody, just a steady drone, perfect to doze off to.

The best sound machine available! Real white noise, not electronic noise. Can’t sleep without it. Have several in our household with no issues. One we’ve had for 10 years!

In this global world it’s bonkers to have a 120V product, 99% of products I own are from dozens of countries I travel to and they have 100-240V input and quite small plugs.<br /><br />So as a frequent traveler, I took it to UK the 3rd day I bought it in US. No brainer. Plugged. Smoke. Burnt. Good thing is the plastic smells but doesn’t burn.

My old neighbors were extremely loud, and it is amazing how much this has helped me to sleep. Now I don’t need it as much as my new neighbors aren’t as bad, but I still use nightly. Highly recommend.

At first I did not think it was going to be load enough and was kind of disappointed but given it was the kitchen to just check the sound, I was wrong. We bought 3 for each of the younger kids room. The sound is perfect and you can adjust the levels. At its loudest its perfect!
