Living near two major hospitals in Atlanta, I' was really hoping this would work not to be awakened at all times of the night and me not knowing why. I'm no longer waking up, so it must be working! I'm very happy to get some sleep for a change over the past dreadful year long pandemic!

Before using this, I used to sleep for 8-9 hours a still be tired. Now I only sleep for 6 hours and feel refreshed. It is absolutely amazing how much this has helped me--literally overnight.I have read that a lot of times you wake up in the middle of the night, but you don't remember it. I suppose that sounds can wake you up, and you don't realize that you were up.I have noticed an extremely big difference, which has helped me a lot at school. I only wish I had tried this earlier.

We have a Dohm sound machine in all the bedrooms in the house. It only plays white noise and that is exactly what we wanted. We honestly can't sleep without one!

I live in a huge PUD with the homes very close together so this allows me to sleep at night.

I've had one of these for probably at least 12 years and it's still going strong. I can't sleep without it and always take it with me when I travel. I visit my grandchildren in another state frequency and it finally dawned on me this last visit that I should leave it there and buy another one for home so I don't have to keep hauling it back and forth, so that's what I did. It didn't arrive until the day after I returned from my trip, so I used a white noise app on my phone and that was less than satisfactory. I was worried the new one would sound different, but it's perfect! This brand is wonderful and this white noise machine is a life/sleep saver. I bought the black one this time because it was less expensive, but honestly, I don't even notice it. It just kind of blends in. I highly recommend this item.

Purchased this for my boyfriend so he could sleep in later. All his neighbors have landscapers whick cut grass early in the morning. He liked it so much his daughter even asked for one.The black color is a awesome touch.I found you get the best impact placing it on the floor about 6 inches from the wall. Further away from where you are working.

No thing fancy just pink noise. Works.

Our very old white noise machine , well, just got old. We replaced it with the same. Our favorite white noise. We will get great sleep with this new machine.

I have three small kids and I own a psychotherapy practice with 4 offices, so I own seven of these things. As a therapist, I used to have Hometics band other brand sound machines with settings for birds chirping, waves, etc, but always just used the white noise setting. I went through probably 6 of them in four years. They have cheap volume knobs and power supplies and circuit boards, and they are basically disposable. I have hadThe Dohm machine is not digital but uses a spinning fan inside a plastic housing to create the sound. They only have low and high volume, and a plastic rotating top that sort of adjusts pitch. But this is enough. Now that I am working from home (Covid) and I have kids napping and sleeping at night, I have had occasions where one of these machines is on for 72 hours or more. Flawless. They don't even get warm.I've had three of them for 10 years. For a sound machine you are actually going to use a lot, I don't believe there is any alternative to Dohm.

This sound machine is so easy to use. Literally just plug in and turn on. The sound it produces is steady and without variation. It comes with two options for volume/fan speed, in addition to the pitch change offered by simply turning the cover. My husband would prefer more volume settings as he thinks it's too loud. I think it's perfect though.I haven't attempted to travel with it, but personally I would say it's too bulky to easily pack. I would prefer just using my sound machine app on my phone rather than give up that much luggage space.For the first week, when initially turned on, the sound machine produced a “fresh out of the box electronics” smell. After a few weeks, that smell is gone.For ease of use and quality sound, I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a sound machine

I have this product and it is the best thing I have ever bought. I live on a pond that is loaded with bullfrogs and every summer they make these Horrible mating call sound goes on all night long you can never sleep. With this sound machine it blocks out everything and I sleep like a baby thank goodness I got one get it and you will not be sorry

Produces a pleasing (to me) white noise like a fan or window air conditioner to help drown out other noise and lets me get to sleep easier.
