Love this machine. It plays a nice even sound throughout the night and drowns out excess noise.

I love this little sound machine. I've had it for three and a half years now and it's still going strong, even though I run it every day for hours, sometimes all day and all night. It provides just the right level of sound to block out all those annoying little noises. Great quality. I'm so glad I bought this.

We bought two of these: one for the bedroom and the other for a room where we may take a nap or want quiet time. It works well in both and has helped us sleep! Even in an office setting, it works well.

This is our second Dohm - the first one lasted 10-12 years. We bought the first after an experience in a poorly designed vacation rental where the A/C unit was way at the other end of the space from our bedroom. To try to draw the cool air back to the bedroom, we turned the overhead fan on during the night - concerned the fan would be too loud for us to get to sleep - and had some of the best sleep of our lives. We came home, I mentioned it to a friend, she recommended the Dohm.I had read reviews complaining about the sound quality of the newer machines, but we found it sounds exactly like the original, which is just what we wanted. Because it operates mechanically rather than electronically, it has a mellower sound than the apps on our phones.This is really too big and heavy for travel, though! For that we have two Rohms, made by the same company, one that lives in my suitcase and another in our travel trailer. The Rohm does use electronic sound but we find it does a good job mimicking the rounder sound of the Dohm.

I love the sound. The tone is adjustable (not SUPER adjustable) and I've never slept better. It's perfect.

This sound machine is very easy to use. The volume (control switch low and high, rotating side with openings) also changes the quality of fan sounds you can hear. I used to be a person who needed the TV on to fall to sleep...not anymore. I use it every night and it's so peaceful! I definitely recommend this product.

Cant fall asleep without it!

I received my first sleepmate as a gift in 1977. Still by far the best sleep machine, drowns out most noises, including street traffic and people's voices. I sleep with it on every night. The machine lasts about 20 years. It's a little heavy for travel, but is by far the best.

I can't sleep without this. My favorite! Minimizes distractions.

We own several of these. They will change your life, especially if you have a baby and put this in their room. Then they can't hear you watching TV at night or doing the dishes.

Seems a bit louder than the white one we have. If louder is what you're after then try this one. Pit the old one in the camper :)

How does it even work? My wife and I cannot even get out of bed unless we turn it off!!
