Programs: YVC began as a summer volunteer program for youth in Kansas City, MO. Today, we have 30 affiliate programs located in various communities throughout the U. S. and Canada working on recruiting, managing, and educating youth for ongoing volunteer service-learning projects both throughout the school year and during summers. YVC Headquarters provides comprehensive services to Affiliates, including exhaustive and ongoing instruction in youth empowerment best practices, best practices for designing service-learning projects, development assistance, program evaluation, volunteer tracking, training, an annual Youth Leadership Summit, and awards to exemplary youth volunteers. To date, we have supported and inspired over 280,000 youth, who have completed over four million hours of service.
