Installed this in a small Boston Whaler (150) and connected it on the inside to a battery tender and to the battery. It's a great professional addition to an already sweet little boat and stops you from worrying about the battery. It's not waterproof when being charged because of the extension cord's plug. But it is waterproof when closed and not in use.

I have a 21.5 ft Tracker Grizzly which has the trolling motor battery compartment up front. I installed an onboard charging system, but didn't want to have to leave the battery compartment open and unlocked to charge my trolling motor batteries. This socket is brilliant, gives me an easy plug and walk away for the batteries. It is extremely easy to install and has put up with quite a bit of weather at this point. I have had this on my boat since July or August of 2021 and have no complaints as of now.It is very easy to install, and also easy to weather proof. A layer of waterproof silicone on the underside of the installation platform ensure even further protection.I cannot imagine my boat without this nifty port.

Cord comes out the bottom instead of the center like every other port made to install on a boat. It's obvious that the designer has never installed one of these. It probably can be installed easily on an aluminum boat or in sheet metal, but installing in fiberglass was a pain that involved notching the existing hole then hammering in the port. Why not have the cord attached anywhere inside the diameter of the port instead of protruding out the side. Material is strong through because I used a deadblow to force it through. Hopefully it doesn't fail anytime soon because it will be a pain to get out.

Super easy to install, looks professional and stylish. I installed on my ATV so I can just plug in a cord to power an onboard battery charger and maintainer. Love it

This is a well built AC port plug. Installed in my Crestliner for charging my trolling batteries.I wouldn't think twice to purchase again.
