This item is fabulous if you don't like seed all over the place. My other feeders have loads of seed that that the birds knock off but this one doesn't do that

This tray is exceptionally well made, I've hung it from an arm of our bird feeder and it's been well accepted by our feathered 'clientele'.

I've had one of these for ten years and I just bought another. I use the hanging wires and the birds love them. Very well made so you get what you pay for.

This is very sturdy. I see many years of use out of this feeder. You can actually tap it on ground and get caked on seed out. Now mind you, I am no where insinuating going out and slamming it on the ground, but I nice tap or so and wet uneaten seed comes right out. Bunnies sure appreciate it.

Ever since I put out these larger square feeders I have attracted a whole new world of larger birds. It's so much fun to see which types are visiting. I have doves, pigeons, blue jays, blk headed grossbeaks, evening grossbeaks, and even very nice crows. All these birds seem to get along. They even share with the smaller birds. I love seeing all these varieties. Excellent feeder! Great value.

Overall, I am happy with this tray feeder, but the rectangular shape is not ideal for bird feedings. It is large enough that birds often walk around on it rather than just sitting on the edge, which means there is more cleanup to be done later. If you have the right size pole, it fits perfectly and is easy to remove and replace for cleaning. I haven't used the grate much, as the one time I did birds did not eat as much of the food.

As you can see I live in a wooded area. We have all manner of birds and the screen keeps the bigger birds from kicking the seeds out of the pan. I now have a total of 5 and gave one to my daughter.

I didn't like the short pole because I wanted the tray a bit higher. I had a gas pipe, cut the top and grinded it smooth and put some duct tape around the top until it fit snug into the tray bottom.

This is the only and/or last tray feeder you will ever need!!! I wish I had found this years ago as it would have saved me hundreds of dollars in wasted feeders. I have always preferred tray feeders as they allow the most variety of birds to feed at once with the best viewing. But wood and poly wood tray feeders crack, break, mold and are not easy to clean. This one is heavy weight solid metal, will be very easy to clean and I imagine can be passed down the generations of birders in the family. The item description shows two different models (brown one green one) so I wasn't sure which one I was getting when I ordered. I got the green one and was thrilled because it seems to have more drainage than the brown model. I ordered a second one on the spot. One sits on top of a standard 1 bird feeder pole and the other will be used below it on the ground with the stake provided for ground feeding birds, wild mallard ducks and squirrels. I know it might seem expensive but it's a great value for a tray feeder that won't fall apart and if you are a new bird feeding hobbyist, I highly recommend you invest in at least one of these because it will save you money in the long run.

This feeder fits perfectly on the top of a pole that has a 1-inch top. That is why I had ordered it. The pole that I had was used previously to mount a birdhouse. Now it holds the feeder. The fit is just right, and the platform is very sturdy. I also put a baffle on the pole to keep the squirrels from raiding the feeder. Lots of birds stop by including cardinals, blue jays, mourning doves, etc. I've not had problems with the tray falling off of the pole either even on windy days.

This feeder is about as efficient as it gets when it comes to preventing squirrels from, in minutes, vacuuming up all the bird food you put on a platform feeder. Yes, they may use their paws and always get some seeds through the grid or around the edges, but they'll never clean it out. The slightly-raised 1/2 grid placed over the seed slows them down. The feeder is very sturdy and simple to mount on a short pole, although there is a hanger option as well. I mounted it on the pole under a shrub that gives feeding birds some protection from hawks.

Durable feeder! Easy to clean and I love the versatility of putting in on the ground or up high. I had to move mine up high to give cover from hawks. Great product, squirrels are still able to dig food out from the bottom but I feed them too so it doesn't bother me. Great find to attract larger birds like Blue Jays and red bellied wood peckers.
