I would have given this mechanical pencil set a 5 star rating. It is a great set, with a wide selection of good colors, and the advancing mechanisms function very well. Provided that you don't press down too hard, when writing, the colored leads don't break, but that's true for even regular mechanical pencils. Fortunately, the colors all apply to the writing surface very well, so there's no need to apply a lot of pressure. The only reason that I'm not giving this product a 5 star rating is that the description said that they never need sharpening, which was something that I was skeptical about when I bought them, but assumed that they could have some new patented self sharpening mechanism. They do not. Fortunately, I already own a sharpener for 2mm leads, which works fine on the colored leads, so it's not a huge problem. I still like this set, and would have given them a 5 star rating if they wouldn't have said that they never needed sharpening.

The Zebra color pencils work well and provide a nice selection of colors. I purchased both sets, the 12-pencil set and the 24 pencil set and they work great for creating diagrams and emphasizing information during classes. Although I have had a problem with two pencil ends popping off while trying to advance the lead, this is easy to fix with a little glue.

they are some great pencils to have though the led is a little thicker then what it shows so with that you have to add a little more pressure to the pencil then you would normally to really get that bright vibrant color out of it otherwise it is easy to hold and with the pack that I got the colors where really great and bright just wish that it didn't take so much pressure to put on the pencil to really get that color that your looking for

I saw these advertised and thought I would try them. They are great that you don’t have to sharpen. But if you buy them get the larger color pack. I was just trying out didn’t know if I would like. I do. But I think they are better for a person that is just beginning to color. Great for children. They don’t have to be sharpened. You can also buy refills. They are close to Twistables but twistables have darker colors. A good. But not the best choice for a colorist.

The pencils are nice looking. They are easy to use. They are good for journals and writing.

I love how clear the colors look on my journal. Very easy to both write and color. Love it!
