My furbaby is an inside cat, but the dog goes out and finds all kinds of critters and drags them in to her.So this keeps most of them away.

My indoors-only cats became infested by my bringing the fleas in from the garden, where many strays wander through. One flea can jump 6 feet, and they are heat-seeking missiles. My first line of counterattack was to use Zodiac's spot-on product, along with Capstar (an oral medication that only kills adult fleas). I suspect this combo could be very effective for someone who has just one cat, since the cat can't reach the place between his own shoulder blades where the spot-on goes. But two cats (or more) can work hard at grooming the stuff off of each other. So once the 30 days were up for the spot-on stuff to wear off, I tried these collars. By the way, Zodiac has a nice customer questions email. That's how I found out you can only use either the spot-on or the collar, but not both together.Well, Mr. Licky couldn't lick the collar off of his sister, so it didn't take long for all the fleas to be defeated.Unfortunately, I have to take off one star because one of my cats is allergic to the collar. After a couple of weeks, the allergic cat started having sores on her neck and face. It was nothing like the huge gashes that the far more expensive Bayer Seresto collar gave her some years ago, but it was still ugly. So of course I immediately removed the collar. But it had already killed the fleas. And her sores are healing up fast.I think if another infestation happens, I'll still use this collar, on the non-allergic cat only. I'm still looking for solutions for the other one.

The first inexpensive collar to work. No foul smell and the cat doesn't scratch at it for removal. Best part- fleas are gone !

NOT GOOD FOR FLEAS OR TICKS.HOWEVER They Work Great As An ID collar for your cat. I take a bright colored sharpie and right the cat's name, and then our home phone number on the collar before I put it on the cat. Every couple of weeks I go over it to keep it sharp and bright. JUST N CASE.Yes my cats are chipped, however that only works if they make it to a shelter with a chip reading device. If someone found my cat lost, they can just call me on the phone!!Better safe than sorry..We do a once a month flea treatment at home between the collarbones.I only replaced these collars once every... 9 months, maybe. Works great for IDS.WE TRIED THE CUTE SNAPPING COLLARS WITH FANCY NAME TAGS ENGRAVED AND EVERYTHING . WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY .THEY BROKE THOSE OFF AND LOST THEIR NAME TAGS IN 1 HOUR.
