Great little calibration mic.Easy to setup and use, specially easy since it is usb-c and there is no audio interface needed.Gets you hooked on doing room calibration and improvements with software like REW and Dirac.

This was purchased to calibrate my home theater with the Monoprice Monolith HTP-1. I have a 5.2.4 system (2 independent subs, and 4 overhead speakers). This microphone was recommended by Dirac Live to perform the calibration. It was recognized by Dirac immediately and miniDSP has a calibration file available for download. I love the results from the HTP-1 after calibration with this microphone.

Hay tutoriales muy sencillos para ecualizar parlantes para una sala usando REW y este micrfono. Lo he hecho varias veces, cambiando de posicin los parlantes o agregando un subwoofer, y siempre el resultado ha sido mucho mejor que cuando no tena el micrfono. Ahora disfruto de la msica como nunca antes, incluso uso mucho menos mis audfonos.

Bought this mike to use with Dirac live and NAD receiver. Particularly purchased it as it was listed at Dirac site as Dirac compatible. Good quality and build. Happy with miniDSP mic so far.

I tried too long to dial things in by ear only. I wish I knew years ago I could just spend $100. download REW, and have access to an incredible toolset.

I used the miniDSP UMIK to replace the set up Mic that came with my Arcam for Dirac. OMG what a difference, My system which includes ML electrostatic Never sounded better after using this mic, big improvement in bass quality and over all sound. I would recommend the miniDSP UMIK to any one looking for a decent measurement Mic great value at around $100 well worth it considering the investment I have in my system!

I may change mini USB for USB B (printer). USB B gas better duration than mini USB.I may have a housing with 127mm diameter neck. So it would fit into pro calibrators.Behind that, I used Umik-1 for some 4 years now and it has been right choice for permanent outdoor SPL measurement. I used it as microphone for monitoreoderuido.com Noise monitoring cloud and it can stay out there measuring 24x7 for years.

If you get this, you are almost certainly using it for room correction or car correction. When used with a program like REW, it is a powerful tool to help diagnose treatment problems as well as some EQ. Definitely worth picking up if you are even remotely serious about your audio setup. Can't recommend it enough.
