I was almost at the end of my rope until I discovered this miracle product. I have been trying to fix a gap in my Kawasaki Ninja plastic fairings. The plastic fairings were not fitting flush because a tab or two had broken off the darn thing. I tried JB Plastic Weld, 3M Plastic Adhesive, Loctite super glue, heck, even the hot glue gun got in the act, all to no avail. None of these products were strong enough to hold the fairings together. Frustrated, I decided to give this Permatex Black Plastic Weld a shot. Lo and behold this stuff really works! I can't believe how strong the bond is. Oh and by the way, the smell is not as bad as some other reviewers portray it to be - I've smelled worse. Regular gasoline smells 10x more than this stuff. The working time on this is around 5 minutes so you have to work quick with it. Have a timer in front of you. Anyhow, I am very glad I bought this, even though I had to wait a few days to get it - it was worth it. All of the Auto Parts stores in my area were out of stock on this Permatex product- although all of them had the JB Weld version in stock, hmmm wonder why... I had to pass up on the rest and try the best. Now my bike looks amazing, no more ugly gap to worry about, thanks to this really outstanding product. In any event, if you are looking to fix your plastic motorcycle fairings, stop right now and buy this product. This is the answer you have been looking for. Enjoy!

A little messy mixing. Held great on one material, but not as well on the other. Made in USA, and you can always trust Permatex.

I tried two different plastic repair epoxies before, but they both eventually cracked and/or delaminated. This stuff has held without issues for five months now. This stuff is very sticky which means you need to prepare for a very sticky application. Using disposable gloves is a good idea. Make sure you are able to position parts without overflowing the glue to areas you do not want to see the glue because you will not be able to remove it all. This is great stuff that makes tough permanent repairs on plastic parts as advertised.

With a missing tab on front bumper i gave this a try. It WORKS, harden in less than 15 mins as advertised. To me its better than JB Weld.

Used this item to repair the plastic tabs on an air compressor fan and capacitor mount. Worked great. Works if you know what you are doing in terms of prep as well as actually create as solid permeant bond. and quickly as well.

I got this to do someFilling/repairs on some plastic items. It works well and is easy to use, but there really wasn't a lot in the tubes. Like, about half as much as I'd expect if this were a clear, 5 minute epoxy. Also, it doesn't cure super hard. Always a little spongy/rubbery. Did the trick for my application, juwt know that it's not really 'black colored epoxy.' More like a slightly harder curing black RTV silicone.
