Original fuel sender in a 57 Chevy quit working. Discovered all I needed was a new float. Was told to replace the entire sender. But read several posts about the gauge not being accurate, My sender is old, but reostat works perfectly. Float is kinda light weight compared to the brass float. But heard others have used this. Working OK so far.

This float was a little bigger than the original but it was connected with piano wire so I just bent the loop a little bigger and it popped right in. I added a little safety wire just in case but it seemed like it was staying in fine. It's nice to get the tractor's fuel gauge working for the first time in probably 25 years.

The gauge didn't work in this diesel box truck I bought, and the sender is out of production. I got lucky and found a sunken float in the tank. Replaced it with this guy, and am back in action.

Used this to replace my old corroded brass float on my vintage AMC. Snapped right into place and my fuel gauge works again. This 1 x 2 float seems to be very common on many applications.

My 1972 f250 float had a hole in it. Mine measured slightly larger that the new one but I ordered it anyway. Worked perfectly and saved me $40 for a new sending unit. Works on 1967-1972 F series I can say for sure.

I took a chance and it worked out. 1974 F-350 cab and chassis so the tank is behind the seat.
