Membrane designs are easier to clean than traditional airstones. For Summer Use: The Diffuser will work best when placed at the center in the deepest part of the pond in summer. The rising bubbles will lift and aerate bottom water, allowing oxygen to penetrate sediments and optimize waste decomposition. This will also keep stagnant de-oxygenated layers from forming deep in the pond, and effectively circulate the entire pond if properly sized. For Winter Use: Your Diffuser is ideal for keeping a hole open in ice during winter, but the Diffuser should not be placed in deep water. Rather, place the Diffuser in weighted Ballast Bag in no more than 16 inches of water at perimeter of pond farthest from deep end or deepest pocket. This will ensure that the circulation from the Diffuser will not super-cool the water, which is warmest in the deepest part of the pond.Designed for use with Pondmaster AP-40, AP-60, and AP-100 Air PumpsFill bag with gravel to easily secure the diffuserRecommended tubing sizes: 3/4\" or 1\"Membrane designs are easier to clean than traditional air stonesIncludes: 7\" Diameter (18\" total length), nylon bag48 square inches of surface areaTubing:3/4\" or 1\"Diffuser Dimensions:7\" DiameterAir Pump Models:AP-40, AP-60 & AP-100Bag Dimensions:16\" L x 9\" W 3962811 2.0000lbs 0.00 0.00 0.00

It works alright. I have it on a Pondmaster (Danner) AP-20 at a depth of 2 feet, and maybe 8 feet of hose. It just seems like there should be more air coming out of the ring. I previously had the diffuser that came with it, on 3 different 6 inch air stones and a ton more air came out of it.

Hooked this up to the Danner 04520 1700CUIN AP-20 Pond Air Pump in place of the diffuser that came with it, and am very pleased with it. It's so easy to place in a deep pond with the net filled with gravel, and it generates tons of bubbles. My pond is crystal clear and fish appear happy and healthy.
