These locking, expanding banana plug connectors are manufactured with color-coded polycarbonate shells for quick polarity identification and protection from possible short-circuiting contact. The angled body allows for stacking multiple connectors atop each other, for quick speaker system expansion and bi-wired speakers.
Milled from solid brass and plated with 24 karat gold, to provide a long lifetime of service free of oxidation, each connector features two hex-head screws to create a gas-free connection that holds your speaker wire firmly in place.
Integral to the design of these banana plugs is a central spike, driven by the insulated thumbscrew, which spreads the banana plug tines. This action firmly locks the banana plug into 5-way binding posts, banana jacks, and stacked banana plugs for a worry-free connection. Accepts up to 8 AWG wire. Sold two pair per package, two red and two black, and includes a hex wrench. Dimensions: 1-7/8" L x 1/2" Dia.
When using high-strand cable, tinned leads allow for the greatest retention by the set screws.

these speaker connectors are great. The ability to internally tighten them is a big plus and it keeps them from vibrating loose.

Works great. will not pull apart. Set screws could be a larger diameter as they fell out the first time I used. The wrench provided. 0.1mm just a little small to dig into wire lead enough.

Nice high quality components. The angled connectors relieve strain on the connectors due to the 8-gauge speaker wire I'm using. They can be double stacked for bi-wiring, although with heavy duty wire it might be pushing it. Overall, I'm very pleased with these and will buy more if I need bananas.
