Hubby liked this one. Said seasoning was a little off for his tastes. But still pretty good.

I actually really like these. I always bring this, tortillas and some hot sauce for camping or backpacking. Makes pretty good breakfast burritos when your in camp and even great for breakfast for dinner burritos.

Was out camping and it really hit the spot. Went well with morning tea. This has to be the only MRE eggs I've ever had that actually tasted like normal eggs! There's very little frills to this though, just needs a little salt or hot sauce. You should be bringing spices with you on every hike or campout anyways.

We tried some of these out on our last camping trip. Just boil water, place in pouch and stur. Wait, stur, wait and eat. We had some tortillas with us so we used this to make simple breakfast burritos. From the pouch to the tortilla, little bit of hot sauce and good to go. We didn't even use any extra plates that needed to be cleaned afterwards. If we had a cooler we would of added some shredded cheese to them. For eggs breakfast that you buy in a bag, doesn't need to be kept at any certain temp for storage, and cooks up easy, They did a pretty good job.

Not too bad. Add cheese and salt and they make a decent burrito. Throw in some green chili and it would be a good breakfast. The hash browns inside never really soften up and the eggs are missing flavor. I will choose the biscuits and gravy over these every day.

I prefer this brand for breakfast over other brands, its pretty good and sets up faster with a one person serving.

This is not my husband's favorite flavor of Mountain House meal, but he's happy enough with it to eat it. It provides a nice alternative to oatmeal.

I bought this for my bug out bag and tried it. I was really surprised, it tasted really good and the 30 year shelf life was a plus.

I can't say I'm impressed with the red pepper. Not one of my favorites.

I have to admit I was pretty skeptical when I ordered this one. I didn't know what to expect with the ingredients in it. I didn't know how the eggs would taste, if the hash brown pieces would be soggy like a mashed potato, and how it would be with red peppers. I am a fan of one pot meals, so I decided to just bite the bullet and give it a try. In all honesty it tastes pretty good, and before I go on, let me say that I am going to buy more. Now, the smell isn't what I would expect. It's not bad, just different. The hash brown slices are firm, not soggy. There's a slight after taste but nothing bad. I think it might be better if you add a pinch of salt, but don't add until you first taste it to gather your own opinion. After thinking about it, it may be the type of cheese they use that gives it that after taste. Im not sure. With all that said, if you like one pot meals, give it a try.

...even if it wasn't. The flavor is fantastic, has a smoky flavor. It's better if you can let it sit for longer than the recommended time. After well over 10 minutes it was still gritty and this was prepared in an indoor setting.

It tastes alright for what it is. In an emergency or camping situation I am sure it wouldn't be a problem eating it. The bags are kind of small and really only good for a couple of children or an adult. It is not budget friendly, but it is nice to have something that will last for a while in case of an emergency.

This review pertains specifically to the breakfast skillet meal. As you can see from the included picture this is a freeze dried food and as such it has a very long shelf life. You just need to add boiling (or hot) water to the bag and allow it to sit for the recommended time frame stated on the package. Once rehydrated the food is very good and filling.Objectively this isn’t “great” food meaning you could whip up some eggs and potatoes at home and it would taste 10 times better than this. If you rate the flavor subjectively as compared to other dehydrated food this is a very good breakfast meal! The eggs were tasty and the potatoes added a good amount of filling. The peppers added good flavor too. I’d love to have a bottle of hot sauce to dash on top but even without this is still a good meal. This is a campers or back packers delight! It’s not an at home meal replacement food. It’s meant for lightweight portable travel or perhaps at home emergency storage. I am buying more and more of these types of foods with the later in mind; emergency storage. I also have MREs in our emergency storage but they don’t have nearly as long of a shelf life as these so these are always good to have for that purpose.

This is the kind of stuff to fill your bunker for Doomsday. These freeze-dried eggs are good for 30 years, so they have a long shelf life. They don't taste the best, but in the situation you'd really need them, it's probably better than the alternative. For non-Preppers, you could buy some to use if the power goes out for an extended period or if there's some other natural disaster or just if you're camping.

I closely followed the directions on back of the bag when preparing this meal. While I am not a big hash brown fan, I found this very tasty, filling and did not think it needed any extra seasoning. The fact that an unopened meal can sit on a shelf for a couple of decades and still be delicious when you finally cook it adds to their appeal to me.I shared this meal with my teenager who also thought it was quite tasty and was glad we received a 4-pack. I also liked the Biscuit Gravy meal (see separate review) but this one tasted much better, in my opinion and I would prefer to have more of these.
