I can't say this is any better than the whale tail I replaced. I have not noticed any improvement. What I do know is that this one and the others are way over priced for what they are.

Not doing what I expected, but a lot of people warned me about it. Really not a bad product. Great quality, looks really durable and the installation is simple and quick.I expected more of it. Getting a on plane quicker when pulling someone on skies, but it doesn't make that much of a difference. There is a slight difference, but if also feels like it's keeping the engine deeper in the water.Had it for 8 months before I installed it on my boat. When I opened the box the screws were missing. Never checked when I received it. Make sure all the parts are in the box. Had to order some from a local supplier

Fits MerCruiser Alpha One Gen 2 without any modifications. Template included is nice, but I just used blue painters tape instead. Align, and measure 3-4 times just to be 100 sure. I used a 1/8 drill bit as a pilot hole,then stepped up to the recommended 1/4. Took about 20 min to install properly. Looking forward to the performance upgrade!!

2022 Merc 60HP 4 Stroke - this motor does not have the big foot. It took me about 2 1/2 hours of cutting, grinding, and fitting to get this hydrofoil to work. I am very familiar with all sorts of tools. This is not a job for anyone without tools, lacking experience, or short on patience. I called the company and was told that minor altercations, including the removal of some material would not void the warranty. I was told to leave 1/2' between the outside of the 1/4' holes and the trimmed section of the hydrofoil. Both the left and rights sides of the front of the foil was trimmed. By-the-way - my installation came out looking factory with no signs of altercations.If you do take on this job, be very careful about the forward placement of the two 1/4' holes. Most of the fitting was necessary to allow the hydrofoil to slide forward in order to avoid drilling through the steering trim tab.The reason I expended so much time and effort is because this hydrofoil looks to be extremely well built and is custom designed.

Easy 4 bolt installation. You will obviously need to drill through the outboards cavitation plates but we'll worth the little bit of work. My boat now handles and trims much better.

I just installed one on my 15 foot aliikai with a 40 hp yamaha. I was so impressed with how much of a positive difference it made!!! Handling and fuel consumption. AMAZING UPGRADE!!!!

My main purpose for this purchase was to help my Sea ray 175 stop porpoising so much. This hydrofoil solved that and more. I am able to cruise at a higher speed with much less trim adjustment. It handles waves or rough water better and it gets on plane sooner and without so much bow rise. Best $75 I have ever spend on my boat.

Easy to install-ish, drill holes evenly centered not the best even though theirs a template. Easiest with prop removed.This thing WORKS, jumps on plain so rapidly is crazy. However the fun screws with my wake for surfing. Zero cavitation.

I have a 21ft cuddy cabin with a 115 4stroke. When I bought it I knew it was under powered. IF I was able to get it to plane the boat would go about 27mph. I installed the hydrofoil and it planes almost instantly now and the boat ran 32mph. Also anybody with a drill can install it within a few mins. Extremely impressed! I would give it more stars if I could.
