So far good! Per advice of so many reviewers, I brought the toilet seat to Home Depot to pair it up with a 5 gal bucket. The seat fits a $3 Home Depot bucket with no problem. I can even add 3 plastic bags and not have a problem with its installation and removal.<br /><br />I gave it a 4 stars though because the lid always misalign with the seat causing the lid to not be fully opened. I end up having to align it every time. Putting duct tape over both hinges solved this problem. So far, so good!

nearly perfect! fit the mix n measure encore plastic 5 gallon pail perfectly. used for a 19 day camp out with reliance double doody waste bags. the only complaint is that the hinge was loose, and sometimes kept the lid from lifting until pushed back into place.

The description said it snaps onto any 5 gallon bucket. The bucket I planned to use it with is just an ordinary 5 gallon bucket I bought from Walmart. It doesn't fit. It's too small. But what I did was use pliers to bend the edges of the bucket top inward and now it fits great. But, for the money, I shouldn't have had to do anything extra to make fit. Also, I use ordinary trash bags with a little CampaChem to control odors. I'm a female trucker and this comes in handy at night or when there is no bathroom available.

The seat fit my extra tall 6 Gal bucket just fine and locked down nicely. Will be a great addition to my Disaster prep supplies for a Sub-Duction Zone earthquake her in N.W. Will use it for 4 wheel camping next summer also where there are not campgrounds.

I bought 2 of these as part of my Emergency Preparedness Kit. As I live in California, Bay Area, the San Andrea Fault runs right through the Bay Area. So to have two to use for my family "just in case" when the "Big One" hits the Bay Area, I am somewhat prepared. I gave it a four star because I have used one of these emergency bucket seat while camping and works awesome. When nature calls, it's either digging a hole with a shovel or having a 5gal bucket with a toilet seat. I take the bucket with the toilet seat.

The first bucket that I tried did not fit but the 2nd bucket fit perfectly. Some of my friends bought the complete bucket and seat set to avoid this.

Didn't fit the 3-gallon bucket I bought for it to go under my camp cot. I had to use a 5-gallon bucket I already had. Pretty cheap quality but feels ok to sit on and will do the job.
