I'm a Vietnam vet , but didn't deploy and served in a unit stateside. The govt classifies all of us the same, even though I'm a Vietnam era vet. Originally I trained for a LRRP unit for several yrs but as an officer, the year class before me was the last to really deploy. I'm lucky but feel a bit cheated as my stateside unit just babysat basic trainees and I had been trained for years for the LRRP units, some of which sustained 70 casualties .even though I've bought tiger stripe BDUs like I would've worn in Nam this shirt is authentic for non spec ops units and that's why I had to have it. It's a bit large but comfy and it makes me proud to recall that nearly 50 yrs ago I really served, even if not where I wanted or originally signed up for
