Unfortunately the bottle went bad a couple weeks in. Mold came out, and spoiled our stack of pancakes. For this price, very upsetting. The flavor is good. Expectation was 07/2024. And half a bottle is still in it.

Bought it specifically for making homemade bacon but I used it once on French toast just to try it out. Tastes as you expect, like a good quality maple syrup. I've had specialty maple syrups (like whiskey barrel or vanilla flavored) before and I prefer them as a condiment over the plain stuf. I prefer to use this type as an ingredient rather than a condiment.

The very first pour was odd - almost like water had risen to the top. I have never been in the habit of shaking a syrup bottle before using, but I am doing it now. The flavor is fine, but I am not really happy about the separation issue. I will stick to my usual big box store brand syrup.

I like that the syrup is all natural and the flavor is good. I put it on baked sweet potatoes and over waffles. While the price seems high, helping to support a small business was important to me.

Compared to Butternut Farms' Grade A dark robust, this has a stronger flavor that is quite different from the maple flavor I am accustomed to from most maple syrups and maple sugar candy. The best comparison I can think of is that it's kind of like an artisanal root beer. There are extra flavors in there that you may or may not enjoy.Tasted straight, both my wife and I preferred the Butternut Farms syrup to this one.

This is excellent maple syrup. The only drawback is that the opening is much too wide. It pours a lot too quickly. Would be better if they made a smaller opening
