I got an ibanez 8 string and a set of passive pickups for it. It has soapbar routes. I wasn't a fan of the look with the larger routes showing so I began searching for a pickguard template. After a lot of work I found one that I was able to print to scale and bought this material. I was pleasantly surprised to find it was 3 ply, sturdy and there was enough for 2 in case I ruin one or the other. Still a work in progress but I like the look of the white Pearl and so far it's been pretty easy to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again for another project.

This stuff cuts easily with a scroll saw. The material is thick enough to be stiff without being fragile. I'll buy another if I ever need it.

Bought this to replace the pickguard on my brothers Music Man, Ray 34 Bass. The reason I gave it 3 stars for ease of installation is, if you've never cut your own pickguard before it can be a little tricky. But once you get the hang of it, it's an inexpensive way to customize your guitar,
