I have used a Melitta pot for decades. I left mine behind when I moved ftom The US to Ecuador. Not finding a pot here that I like and could afford, I decided to order a Melitta from the US. The set works OK, but I think the cone is different from my semi-antique set. I think the cone is a bit smaller - the filters don't fit well - and seems not to work quite as well as my old one.

It's been about 7 years and still use this almost every day. Wish the inside of the cone was smooth, so it'd be easier to clean, is all

Old fashioned are better love this and easy on the wallet too. Makes excellent coffee every time and so easy to clean. Very practical!

The top us strong and fits nicely also in older pitchers but the bottom is very frgil. In fact we broke it twice without abusing it.
