Some folks seem confused by the package labeling of 12 pouches, and 24 servings. Hmm. There's math involved. But it's grade school math. Each package is 2 servings. If that means there's leftovers bc you're a single no worries. Share costs with another single, or split a pouch into two zip locks, and cook them in your campfire coffee cup. Great solution for 1 or 3 day hikes, too.Mountain House freeze dried foods are all pretty good. Trail tolerable for sure. Some are outstanding. They reconstitute with a min of hot water, and 10 min approx. So mealtime is not a lot of work.Keep some around the apt or house. Fast easy food in a hurry. I use this stuff at least every week or two for a work lunch, a supper, and def for breakfast. At $4 - $4.50 a serving they're not a bad deal. In fact I eat a lot of freeze dried foods, and I save hundreds a year vs throwing out spoiled produce and herbs, etc. Which saves trips shopping.
